Bannus
Thanks for the scale reference photo! So they are on 50mm bases then? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279490-converting-our-own-centurions/page/2/#findComment-3455651 Share on other sites
Veteran Sergeant
The problem with converting them is that the bases are a new size. The models themselves aren't as bad as everyone has been saying (I personally love the three centurions on my desk in front of me) but the bases are a bit bigger than terminators, and smaller than dread sized ones. That's the major limiting factor in conversions right now. 50mm bases aren't hard to get. http://battlemart.com/store/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=3827 http://www.evilmushroomgames.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=204 http://heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=163&zenid=0dd5d3b99b3254baa00c82f7022c74b3 https://www.arcanesceneryandmodels.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=178_179&products_id=577&osCsid=1kibdn8go3im2usi589d9993p3 The only question will be achieving proper model height to avoid the whole MFA argument. Will have to put them on raised terrain or something. I dunno. Glad I don't have to deal with that question. The Centurion models bug me on every level. They're ugly, and their fluff makes their employment antithetical to the kinds of battles that Space Marines fight. jimbo1701
Yes, and don't forget that my conversion stands a little taller due to the waist mod. The bases are all the same milliput so should cancel each other out for height. @Bannus, yep 50mm. I have no spares which is annoying when the box I bought had one missing. Gw customer services on the case tho. Vorenus
How close in size are Centurions to Tau Broadsides? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279490-converting-our-own-centurions/page/2/#findComment-3455857 Share on other sites

Captain Idaho
How about Warzone's Juggernaut? A head swap would be enough, I guess: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-x_K-iBgp4h8/UhJPyzvBGeI/AAAAAAAAHHA/ct9Y9Sdlk-o/s1600/jugger.jpg That's a little too camp for me. I don't particularly want a model from another range because of tournament rules etc. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279490-converting-our-own-centurions/page/2/#findComment-3460818 Share on other sites

IamJacksUserName
Hi guys ! Here is my vision of the centurion, it still need a head and a good idea for the missile launcher ... Hope you like it ! Overall, a giant improvement on the original design, but I can't help but envision a grot sitting on top where the head should with some nobs and levers piloting that thing. Bannus
That is a nice conversion you have going there. As for the missile launchers: Maybe cut a Cyclone launcher in half and mount it (them) on the wrists? Lord Abyssous
Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I just love the Centurion models. I'm doing a bit of kit-bashing and I'll use them as Obliterators in my Renegade Space Marine army. May I ask where you got all the little armour 'nubs' from? (right shin armour) I always want to MK1 style some of my minis but never know how to get/make these little dots!
