gogmagog
Just a question, which other first founding chapter would have the closest ties to the blood angels?
skawolf
I heard that the Iron hands are trying to buddy up to us to get a copy of the Baal predator STC ;) Realistically I can see Salamanders or Raven guard being cool with us.
sockwithaticket
Well they fought side by side with White Scars and Imperial Fists on terra. That sort of thing is bound to leave some strong ties. 2 wars for Armageddon with the Salamanders, too.

Xenith
In terms of ties, all marine chapters are the same, all space marines from other chapters are the BA's cousins, after all. Sallies would have a healthy respect for the BA after Dante honoured them at Armageddon2.
Francesi Castigon
In the Blood Angels codex it says Dante sent three companies of Blood Angels to Ultramar to help them clean up after the Tyranids, so Ultramarines or any first founding chapter from Armageddon. Memento Of Prospero
A neat idea would be a second founding chapter helping the blood anngels. It's written in lore that all blood angel successors have deeps ties due to the thirst and shared visions of sanguinius, and to attack one is to attack them all. Leonaides
Given that every marine chapter would be expected to recognise (and participate) in the Sanguinala (an Imperium-wide observance/day of remembrance by ALL adeptus - astartes, ministorum, munitorum, arbites, etc), I'd imagine that any marine chapter would relish the chance to fight alongside the Blood Angels. Its not often you get to work with the sons of the Primarch who fought Horus in all his dark power, giving his last for the chance to weaken Horus' defences. Even marines want to fight alongside legends made flesh, armour that stood at the Ultimate Gate and chainswords that were baptised in blood in the corridors of the Emperors Palace. The Blood Angels are uncommon among marine chapters in that they view the whole of the Imperium as their responsibility, having fought over so much of it during the Crusade and the Heresy, rather than any particular area that they guard/defend. There will be stories in every segmentum battlefleet of the time great slab-sided crimson ships arrived to throw back the darkness, there are whole wings of the fortress monastery devoted to battle honours won on worlds far from Baal and honour debts owed or fulfilled amongst their brother chapters. Apart from the Flesh Tearers that is........
appiah4
We get along with Necrons, I can't see how we couldn't ally inseperably with any first founding chapter, including chaos turned ones. I'd go for Dark Angels though. Angels of Death and all that stuff. Besides, they are kind of chaos turned.
Xenith
Blood Drinkers are a codex chapter, maybe use them as C:SM allies.
Jolemai
In Horus Heresy: Betrayal our sworn brothers on the Allies matrix are the Imperial Fists, Salamanders and Ultramarines.
