Scars weekly e-book

True, but I'm not too fussed. I've been waiting for this since they started the novels for the HH. Reading about the exploits of one of our most treasured heroes in episode 5 was really worth it! On top of that I've always liked the scars and love that we are getting insights to their 30k persona. Waiting week to week is excruciating!

Yea I've been reading them too, was very pleasantly surprised to find so much Space Wolf content and for the first time in the Horus Heresy we get to see things from Bjorn's perspective.

But yea the cost is a bit difficult to justify, BL has been pouring out digital content lately and I just can't keep up with it, at $2-3 per item and with relatively little content per item it really doesn't seem like the e-books are providing enough bang for my buck.

i want to, but figured I'd wait for the series to be over and buy them in mass, or in the collected and inevitably cheaper costed version BL releases to smack their regular buyers in the face.

there is alot of talk of Russ's reaction to Prospero in the HH subforums, anybody mind spoilering for me? either here or in pm.

Here you go... DO NOT HIGHLIGHT IF YOU DON"T WANT TO BE SPOILED!!!!!!!

From what I remember Russ, and the legion are upset because they realize the Horus thing set them up and kept them from helping the loyalists at Istvaan V. Russ laments that he could have been there to fight along Ferrus who is now dead. He makes the following comment about Prospero and Istvaan "Do sagas exist in which the Wolf King was drawn to the wrong place, doing the wrong thing? Has our shame ever been greater?"  After this Bjorn steps up and disagrees, that the his first hand experience with the Horus Daemon showed it had to be destroyed. He further states that Magnus was lost and had to die.

The entire book itself is suppose to come out in May 2014. So can we all just say that next year will be pretty much the year of the wolf (SW codex, Burning of Prospero, FW Russ model, and another SW novel "Stormcaller" part 2 of Blood from Asaheim).

Anyone here notice a subtle connection to book Battle of the Fang?

*WARNING SPOILERS BELOW*

Ingvar Gyrfálkon sword is named 'dausvjer' it was once owned by Wolf Guard Sigrd Brakk of the 12th Great Company and Wolf Guard Pack Leader to eleven of the Great Company's Blood Claws. Brakk led his pack of Blood Claws in the defense of the Sunrising Gate. The blade was later recovered by the Blood Claw Aesval Helfist. Well played mister Wraight, well played!!!

Wraight is like a sneaky/brilliant wolf scout, you gotta re-read and catch those subtle little tie-in's here and there with his books! I believe two-blade and Godsmote from Prospero Burns will be with "Bear" in Scars or in future books....

Why am I off topic? I'm asking if Scars has made any mention of how Leman Russ is feeling now Prospero is burned and the heresy is now underway.

I'd like all mediums to be covered for everyone. That said, I don't want to discuss paper versus e-format here.

Lol ... And I now experience the over moderation I've heard tell of.

My statement was simply that I prefer paper based and hope it makes it to that format. Each to his own though and there is no argument here as to which is the best format wise. whistlingW.gif

No. I've been a mod here since 2006 and can feel when something will be taken off track. Your statement was fine, it's the subsequent posts which I was worried about. If you feel I'm over moderating please take it up with my superiors. If not, let's end this discussion and continue with the thread topic.
