gory_v
You've been inducted into the death company....but we're all out of jump packs and drop pods. You're just going to jump out of the raven and hopefully crush the enemy when you land on em... CitadelArmyGuy
Hi guys! Sorry have been nonposting for so long. Several real-life factors combined with Organizing and Running a WFB Escalation league all this summer have kept me out of WH40k for quite awhile. Additionally, I'll be headed out the door to the sandbox again in October so I've been maximizing family time as well. As for on-topic, the new SM codex is nice and shiny-- after suffering through Tau and Eldar, finally a Loyalist book has dropped that BA can actually use! lol What I am personally looking forward to trying out the most is WhiteScars allied for some good old fashioned Blood Rodeo. Awesome scoring Bikes who can Fix enemy while waiting for the BA Jumpers to pile-in, then they Hit&Run away to Fix something else. Cheaper Hit&Run Bikes is something the Blood Rodeo has certainly been waiting for! Also I envision replacing Mephiston's battlefield role with a White Scar Monster-Master instead: 220pts for 2+/3++, T5, W4, EW, then add more points for whatever melee weapon you'd like (spoiled for choice there) It also gives access to overtly excellent units such as mentioned Bikers and also AttackBike Squads (5pts each more expensive but certainly worth it). In addition, there might be some other gems to be had with such an ally--- like a Devastator Sergeant who can tank a Demon-Prince challenge, then the rest of the Devs Hit&Run away and blast the sucker. Maybe even a Drop-Pod Tactical Squad designed to melee-Fix then Hit&Run out of the action in order to shoot some more? BikeMaster, a Full Bike Unit and a Full AttackBike Unit as an ally package will run up to 700pts on the highest-end fully loaded, but remember you're gaining a "better than" Mephiston in that package. Certainly ways to make that points-cost easily much lower as well.
