Deadpool1713
I'm not exactly sure if this breaks the asking for copyrighted stuff on this sight, but does anyone with the new SM codex know if they put ANYTHING about the Astral Knights in the new codex? I has hoping for a color scheme, but I didn't want to buy the codex just to find out. I would end up buying it if I was certain it was in there though because I'd want to either have an Astral knights army, or ally them with my Flesh Tearers. So if anybody could please look into that for me, that would be awesome! Bryan Blaire
The Astral Knights were completely destroyed, sacrificing themselves against a Necron World Engine. I don't see a color scheme for them in the new Codex. No Foes Remain
Well the Sable Swords replaced them so its possible that they could have had similar colours, I remember reading somewhere that the Star Scorpions had the same scheme as the Mentors who replaced them. That's why I wanted to make an army of them, because I liked the story :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279684-astral-knights-question/#findComment-3452255 Share on other sites

The only thing I found regarding the Sable Swords taking over for the Astral Knights was that the Sable Swords pretty much inherited the fortress monastery after their destruction. Sadly, it says nothing about them sharing colors :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279684-astral-knights-question/#findComment-3452371 Share on other sites
No Foes Remain
That also means that it didn't happen. Since theres a lack of info on them its up to you, but if it happened once (with the Star Scorpions and Mentors) then its possible that it could happen again. Deathwolf1805
I thought that there were still some Astral Knights around, as only seven hundred and seventy-two took part in the attack on the World Engine, but there weren't enough to continue the chapter. I think the rest were absorbed by other chapters, including the Sable Swords who took over their duties and monastery. Lucien Eilam
There were only "a handful" not present. I imagine they'd end up in the Deathwatch. It was a very recent event in terms of the 40k timeline, so there's no reason not to play them anyway. They were alive and kicking for most of the 41st millennium. In terms of what they looked like, there was another Sable Swords Chapter mentioned in M32, presumably extinct by M41, so the new Chapter may have taken their heraldry rather than the Astral Knights'. I wouldn't feel bound by that, you can do what you want. Of course, you risk having to change everything if they ever turn up in a Space Marine Battles novel or something with more details. There's a great blog where one guy made up his own scheme for them: http://astralknights.blogspot.co.uk/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279684-astral-knights-question/#findComment-3484928 Share on other sites
Targetlock
considering the nature of their destruction, you could have them as a ghostly force, the haunted spirits of the army seeking vengeance kind of like the legion of the damned? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/279684-astral-knights-question/#findComment-3485826 Share on other sites

Who cares what happens in the future, we're in the present. Dragonlover
In the Games Day collection of the 1000 word ebooks there's the story of the Sable Swords taking over the planet from the Astral Knights. The Astral Knights are referred to as wearing silver armour. Unfortunately, there's no mention of the Chapter symbol. Hope that helps!
