NeverEnder Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Hi all, Long time lurker and 1st time poster, thought id share a W.I.P pic of my chaos space marine army i've just started. Spent many years playing and painting Black Templars, but fancied a change from painting Black (even tho' it looks cool) I've attempted to go for a Dark Ghostly feel for the main colour and Im going to pick out the weapons with a very dark metal and the eye lenses with Red. plasma will be done in Orange I think. Could this colour scheme once properly based, be a bit too uniform and not have enough variation to make it look good tho'?. Adeptus-Alaska Posted September 9, 2013 Share Posted September 9, 2013 honestly, I think it would look amazing as an army of ghost warrior stalking the battlefield, kinda like the dead army from the return of the king........chilling thought! with the dark metal, go dark. mix leadbelcher with black and hilight with the mid tone metal layer. the red eyes start with mephiston red small circle of wild rider red. a smaller circle of troll sylayer orange. then glaze with bloodletter. this will give a subdued OSL effect. orange plasma coil, yes please. i'll be watching this! NeverEnder Posted September 15, 2013 Author Share Posted September 15, 2013 hi all, im back.. Lazy sunday today so i've started on my bike squad ans found a lone marine who was left white.
