Sons of Horus Catulan Reaver Army Idea

I'll think about it. Not exactly what I wanted or what I was looking for from the army, though I suppose its an option. At the same time, that would also just jack up the prices both pointswise and moneywise. Bluh

Also, that Rite of War would deny me from taking Pride of the Legion, which is an absolute necessity. So that's completely out of the question. I'll just stick with Dreadclaws thank you.

Yeah they might get them.

According to Betrayal, the catulan reavers specialised in harrowing actions and hit and run tactics, so I guess they would only take jump packs in certain situations. They may even have dedicated jump pack squads.

The more I look at the Catulan Reavers the more I like them. In Betrayal there is even a picture of an predator attached to the their battle company.

Well, in they were first introduced in Horus Rising, they had Jump Packs. Now, ignoring that Betrayal changed it from the Catulan Reaver squad to several Catulan Reaver squads, Forgeworld has said they are sticking to BL's fluff. So, technically the Catulan Reavers should have Jump Packs in the rules at least as an addition since they are not modeled as standard equipment.

I support your idea for this, but Catulans were one squad according to BL, but if you want that. Then go at it.

FOR THE WARMASTER!

In the very first book. In Little Horus, he has moved up in the world, even being suggested as a member of the reformed Mournival.

That and in Betrayal, they have been upgraded to being several squads. Personally, I'm okay. It's better than the horror stories I heard my naivete where they had been made into a whole company, false teachings that I was more than happy to dispel. I can tolerate multiple squads. Means more to kill. devil.gif

For that insult kage I demote you from tactical veteran to heavy support Sgt

Mkay. :P

So, I just stumbled across this monstrosity:

"The Legion Kharybdis Assault Claw.  It arrives like Drop Pod but can fly after it lands.  It is heavily armed and has a new weapon called a Vortex Melta."

Is this old news that I completely missed?

Twin Linked Avengers bolt cannons?  That's ridiculous.  What's next?  Dreadnoughts with jump packs?  They might as well have strapped a heavy tank cannon to an aircraft and called it a day...wait...

As for dreads with JPs....well the BAs managed to beat you to it. Oh and their land raiders have em too in case you were wondering :)

I think the new storm eagle is gold but I would've prefered it to look more like an AC-130 with 3 different heavy weapons on the side. Yum!
