Cheers, Jono Its deemed a "Heretic Tomb" because of how old it is. So you can't take its fluff at face value, but other than that its an excellent read. This is one of the earliest Dark Angel novels so might not be updated with the current fluff. It is quite controversial though as it tells of a captured Fallen Angel who basically gives his version of the Heresy which paints a less than nice view on the Lion and Heresy era Dark Angels. Subsequently in the Horus Heresy novels and latest materials, they have actually confirmed some of that Fallen Angel (name is Merir Astellan I think) views as valid, although the entire account is still suspect. Nevertheless, it is a interesting read, a character study on a Fallen. Just don't accept it as a gospel truth though, either the Fallen's angle or the Dark Angels angle.
