NoPityNoRemorseNoFear
So the rules for Blessing of the Omnissiah is this:"In each of your shooting phases, instead of firing his weapons, a character with this special rule may choose to repair a single friendly vehicle that he is in base contact with or embarked upon"and to fire any artillery i.e. the TFC from the BRB it reads:"One crewman that is withing 2" of a gun in the shooting phase can fire it. The crewmen firing the gun cannot fire any weapons they are carrying."My question is, would I be able to place a whirlwind and a TFC into a ruin then use Bolster Defences to improve it's cover and then be able to use BotO whilst firing the TFC in the same turn? Just wondering because why would the gunner have that SR otherwise? and it seems to fit RAW and could fit fluff wise if you imagine a servo arm repairing the vehicle whilst he is busy firing the artillery.any thoughts are welcome Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280449-techmarine-gunner-and-boto/ Share on other sites
Lucien Eilam
No. If you don't have the option of firing your weapons, you don't have the option of doing something instead of firing them. You're trying to trade the same action twice. He can of course use the rule if he opts not to fire the Thunderfire Cannon. Grey Mage
Yep, think of it kind of like a slot, or say a standard action in DnD... if you switch it out for something else you cant also switch it out for another thing aswell.
