Cerbero666
So I was reading the Thallax Cohort rules in HH Book One: Betrayal, and in the Thallax Augments section, specifically the Empyrite augment, is stated that: "By means of implanted teleportation gear the unit gains the Deep Strike special rule" But the Thallax are Jet Pack Infantry, and in the 6th Edition Rulebook for 40k pg. 47 it states that "Jet pack units have the Bulky, Deep Strike, and Relentless special rules". Do you guys know if that's a typo or something? I don't know if I'm missing something but if the Jet Pack Units already have the Deep Strike special rule why spend 25 points to an augment that grants them the same special rule they possess? Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280460-thallax-empyrite/ Share on other sites
Dono1979
Sorry, not sure if you got your answer or not, basically Forge World confirmed that this upgrade was really only useful for playing in Zone Mortalis situations where the unit can then Teleport in, otherwise Jump Packs wont let you deep strike into Zone Mortalis boards.
