d the crusade badge. it's cool. I like the third one as well, but maybe make the "lozenges" bigger. remember, this is going on a model 28mm tall.

Oh absolutely we can make them bigger- I just used what little MS Paint skill I had to make a template using lozengy line art I found off of google.  I'll see if I can find bigger line art when I get home from my interview today, and whip up a more refined chapter badge.

 

I like the fact that it's different colored than the normally red, white, and Black.

Thanks- thinking about it, so many Templar crusade badges fall into those color categories- it's become a bit passe. This adds a very noticeable "pop" of color to models, while also giving a subtle nod to our peers the crimson fists and imperial fists.  Yellow and Blue against templar black, confessor bone, crimson crusader red, etc. will draw the eye and make people see that this is all a unified force.

 

It's a little early in the morning for histrionics and feeding the proverbial drama llama, but I wanted to thank you brothers for letting me join this crusade challenge, as well as share input on ideas I come up with- I never expected you guys to like the crusade motto and badge as much as you did; it makes this a lot more personal for me.

 

I might make a thread on this board later about this crusade specifically if thats all right.  And on that note, I've got to get ready, see you all later!

Not sure what I'm going to do for his Crozius, but I've been meaning to turn the Witch from the Dark Vengeance box into a Chappy for a while.....perhaps a pair of those Crosses from the Upgrade Sprue glued together.

That is my plan. it looks great(i've done it before)

And mine was the original Crozius haft. I added a plastic rod for added reach as well

 

And if you have a Michael's craft store, they have a great price on jeweler's chain. I think I bought like 3-5 feet for about 7 bucks.

Just picked up a bunch of supplies for working on my templars, now I just need to finish building everyone. Techmarine is ready to be painted at least.

I doubt I'll have em up tonight but tomorrow I can post him and some other projects (including what will be a very templary Centurion) as well as some motivation shots of some old stuff fixed up.

Alright, I said I'd have some pics so here they are. As a note only some of these are for the penance crusade, others are just me making them tabletop worthy again. The EC is not part of my Vow since he's been done for some time but he looks cool, and since everything else is WIP I figured we need something fully painted posted up.

He got the honors hanging off his left shoulder by slaying a Demon Prince of Khorne in single combat (Without failing a single save too I might add) and then later he and his squad gunned down a Bloodthirster with nothing more than Bolt Pistols. I was both happy and sad because I actually wanted to challenge the bloodthirster to single combat but my men were too Zealous for me. The Squad has since had their weapons anointed. (Gold dry brush instead of silver)

Centurion for a small Killzone Team I am making. Trust me once I figure out which of the three I want for the team I'll make him suitably Templary.

My old master of Sanctity, he used to have a power axe (Halberd) in his other hand but since that isn't an option anymore it's time for me to make something new for him.

Some Sword Brethren (Sternguard) who have been doing great things for me in my games lately. Yes the Castellan took a chainsword, I trust a chainsword a heck of alot more than I trust a Bolt Pistol.

Lastly my First mini up for the Vowed portion so far. I swear I'll paint him before everything else gets painted. Basic Techmarine with Harness and auspex. I got rid of the power axe because it's silly on a model with better melee weapons built in.

Looking forward to more updates from you Lysere- I think you made a good decision forgoing the axe on the techmarine.  Better to have an auspex so you know for sure where your enemies are so you can call in the artillery good and proper.

Besides who needs an axe when you've got nice big friendly claws of skull crushing. Also the Auspex is nice because the techmarine is sadly one of the few models that can actually take one.

Just to show that I've started on my Chaplain/Chapter Master/Captain Hero dude. I am now of the opinion that I will make him look the way I want him to look and which stats I use him for will flex.

Also, if you are wondering why the chicken legs, you'll have to wander over to my crusade thread.
