My first attempt at scratch building with Plasticard, so probably looks a bit rough. comments, advice welcome and encouraged Edit: just noticed i uploaded the same picture twice Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/ Share on other sites
Warhead01
Wonderful! I like the tank. (It reminds me of my failures recently.) You've got a reader. WarriorFish
What's the scale on that tank? I can't get a handle on what it will counts as - a Russ? As for the pictures, I think they're worse than mine - I'm not sure if I should congratulate you or not What are you using to take the pictures with? The trick is to make sure you get as much light as you can (within reason) and take your time and you can get some decent pictures even without a fancy camera or any skill. It works for me From what I can see they're coming along nicely, I'm looking forward to seeing how your tank turns out Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3469248 Share on other sites
Warhead01
Looks like a 1/35 scale tank. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3469397 Share on other sites
Targetlock
Thanks Yeah it is 1/35 scale, so yeah it is rather large, it is hopefully going to be my Punisher count-as. i will post up a barry shot soon so you can see the size of this monster :) Warrior Fish: yeah its a rather cheap cam (Vivitar Vivicam 5119) and thanks for the advice Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3469716 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
No problem, I have plenty of experience at taking bad pictures you see There's only so much you can do without a good camera though so don't worry about it too much - nobody is expecting master photography, just enough to see some of the details Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3469725 Share on other sites
Targetlock
Thanks for that :) and just for you a quick barry shot, though a crappy pic of one: Yep, its a bit big, too big for a russ? Warhead01
It's a little large for a Russ. I used a Russian tank destroyed for a Battle wagon years ago. Bulked it up a little but it was more the right size for that. But this will still look good even if it's just a little large. 28mm is hard to fit with model kits. Oscale sometimes for terrain works. But vehicles are a little harder. I hate the GW battle wagon as a whole and miss the ol' model kitbashed one I used to have. Keep up the good work! Targetlock
Thanks and funnily enough i bought this tank ages ago to be used as a Battlewagon but never used it and kept it in storage for ages :) , thought i would have some fun and use it for this project. any ideas for extra stuff for the tank welcome. Brother Lorien
1/56 is a good scale to use together with GW 28mm scale OR try out the 28mm scale ww2 kits Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3470205 Share on other sites
Targetlock
Thanks but i still rather like the work on my tank, and don't really want to waste it, so i hope to use it anyway, i will continue progressing on it and posting pics. coming up: snipers and penal legion :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3470632 Share on other sites

Targetlock
:) lol i was thinking either the Desolater or Desecrater of Hope. any other cool suggestions? will probably paint the name on the vehicle somewhere. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3479921 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
Desolater is a good name, but it probably needs a bit more added to it (like Desecrater of Hope) as chaos like their overly flamboyant names. Must be compensating for something. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3480343 Share on other sites
Targetlock
Not with the size of that gun it isn't ;) but yeah the name does need to be a bit more flamboyant how about 'Desolator of Purity' ? any cool ideas? WarriorFish
You could always let it earn a name in battle, that's my default for when nothing comes to me during construction or painting :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3480407 Share on other sites
Targetlock
Thats a good idea :) though i suspect it will probably be 'Bullet sponge' because of its size ;) will hopefully post pics of my beastmen stormtroopers and my straken count-as soon, though i also got a fun idea for a marbo count-as :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3480499 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
Sacrificial Nurglamb? Targetlock
Just completed these: The wild hunt, my count as Stormtroopers :) quite pleased with these, though they still need some work. and also: My count-as 'Iron Hand' Straken! though he needs a new name, any suggestions? well thanks to these my 1000pts is done! though i do want some more tanks :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280593-traitor-guard-blog/#findComment-3481737 Share on other sites
cypherthefallenangel
I got a good one which could work for either the tank or your straken. Alright I stole it from metallica but still bad ass. ”Harvester of sorrow” or ”harvester of souls” . Great conversions by the way.
