Daemon2027
Hey, Ferrus. Shoulda worn a helmet bro. Made me chuckle, which is cruel really. So whose going to be the first to buy him in order to model him at the end of his duel? Wade Garrett
Am I the only one annoyed by the fact that in the novel FULGRIM, Ferrous wielded Fireblade and Fulgrim was swinging Forgebreaker when they finally went at it, therefore the diorama is an inaccurate display of "what really happened"? Not really a fan of the model, although that's because I always pictured the X Primarch as looking something like Brazilian MMA superstar Wanderlei Silva with the necrodermis arms much more pronounced. Yeah but while they were posed as if they were duelling, the models also represent them throughout the great crusade, where Ferrus used forgebreaker Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280597-ferrus-manus-fw-model/page/2/#findComment-3469625 Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
But this is the problem with someone GW/FW finally making official Primarchs - the ones that haven't had a ton of art done for them leaves a lot of interpretations out there in the minds of the fans, and a lot of people will have imagined something different and may not like the figure because of it. The necro arms are as pronounced as you want them to be. That painter only went up some of it. Angron should have had the face of Wand in his roid Pride days. Dead eyed soulless majesty right there. WarSpirit
What strikes me the lost is the face, he's not screaming but yet he looks like he have more expression than any other primarch, truly well done, love that model. Vile Siren
Does anyone think that FW will sell both Ferrus and Fulgrim in a dual set? I know that Fulgrim is already for sell as a single mini and I am sure Ferrus will be the same but I wouldn't mind a dual set that would drain the good old wallet! Brother-Chaplain Kage
That would be great, because unlike GW, their bundles actually save you money. I did the math on a few of the Chapter Upgrade bundles they recently released (shoulder pads, transfer sheets, rhino/LR doors, etc) and the savings varied, but it was in the range of 4-10 GBP. Another example is the Legion Heavy Support Squad sets with 20 marines and 20 heavy weapons. Individually, the MK II set 1 comes out to 160 GPB and they sell it for 122, which is a 23.75% savings. Russ Brother 92
I love the model - and for me the key bit is a)NO wrench, instead a rather nice hammer and b)the head looks normal :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280597-ferrus-manus-fw-model/page/2/#findComment-3470156 Share on other sites
Torvak Kyre
It looks amazing. Does anyone know if the big base they both sit in comes with the model? They both have those bases and they will fit together to make a diorama. But this is the problem with someone GW/FW finally making official Primarchs - the ones that haven't had a ton of art done for them leaves a lot of interpretations out there in the minds of the fans, and a lot of people will have imagined something different and may not like the figure because of it. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/FW/Events/preview-uk-2013/ferrus-manus-duel1.jpg Here you can see a bigger base that they both sit in. If you look at the video you can also see some more rocks joining the two bases at the sides. Marshal Rohr
I absolutely love Fulgrims pose now. Horus Heresy is by far the best timeframe ever. Demigods leading armies of angels. Russ Brother 92
for those of you who already have Primarch are the head's separate? as I'd be inclined to have one for Ferrus with a Mohawk and either monocle or bionic eye :) as well as the regular one :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/280597-ferrus-manus-fw-model/page/2/#findComment-3470482 Share on other sites
Wade Garrett
Angron should have had the face of Wand in his roid Pride days. Dead eyed soulless majesty right there. I always thought of Angron as looking more like Dan Henderson, with his face appearing to have been sandblasted as a result of all the incoming attacks he's blocked with it. Dosjetka
This is probably the most stunning model fron Forge World of all of the models they've made up until now.
