To HH or not to HH? That is the question...

Hello guys,

well, I am about to confess. I am no more interested in Warhammer 40.000 the game as I don't like the way GW is heading etc. But nevermind.

The dilemma I am facing is: "Shuld I start with HH or not?" Well I am not afraid I wouldn't find someone to play with (as my brother can be "manipulated" into anything that incluedes plastic/resin models). You know, I have my 40K army which I like really much but the gaming is not very rewarding anymore. I would like to try 30K because of the list balance (you all have basically the same list after all) and, well, the background of it. On the other hand, the starting investment is quite a punch for a family budget (75GBP for just the book+160GBP for troops+upgrades+transports+more squads+HQs and it goes on and on).

And in that I am not mentioning that I don't know what legion to choose.

How are you guys satisfied with what HH brings to you? Do you still play 40K? What do you enjoy more?

Greetings!

I have pretty much the same problem with GW and 40K in general. The game and company brings little satisfaction to my life, hobby and painting in general.

I have a 5000 or so pts Alpha Legion army that I play with from time to time. I would not have trouble finding players to play HH with, since several (read all of them) are shifting from 40K to 30K.

But I'm not sure I'm interested in pouring another 1000 £ into plastic and resin that I will then spend a year painting, and play maybe 3-5 times per year. Not to mention that I have no idea what legion I would choose. Maybe I'd just stick to a pre heresy Alpha Legion to keep things simple. Or make a Jehovas Witnesses.

My friends who play HH seem happy and I have played my 40K against their 30K in both regular games, Apocalypse games and small Zone Mortalis games.
