OK! Got nothing accomplished this past weekend cause I was sick sad.png

Sill waiting on a shipment of worbla, but I am continuing with that I've got!

That said..... boots are done!! biggrin.png Just need to paint them and stuff.

What sorts of paints do you all recommend for painting on foam?

I should note the shin guard flex a bit so I'm hoping for a paint that works well with that.

Unless the worbla comes so I can start on my breastplate, I will be moving on to the gauntlets! biggrin.png

Very nice! Loving it so far. As far as what to paint with, I would highly recommend using an airbrush for this. It'll save you time and is great for costumes. I use the Vallejo air color paints, but you can use the citadel range if you thin them with a medium.

Cheers,

Sorry, I just looked at the boots and figured they were nearly done in all respects.

oh no! lol not at all. :) This is just 100% foam and a bit of paper clay at this point.  I plan to pain the whole thing in a metallic black with gold and silver accents when all is said and done.

Gauntlets.  i'm pleased with how they are turning out, might put a fleur de lis on the smaller of the two, the large one is HUGE... think Hellboy... the rounded end covers all of my hand but my fingers.  On it I will be embellishing it with the little "OBEY" ornament below

Max... ... I am pretty sure I have seen a sister as a mini or in art at some point with one gauntlet much larger than the other.... Otherwise... call it creative liberty =P

Been a busy girl tonight!!!! Am so ready for bed now >_> Worked on this start to finish, 8 hours total.

Quite amazing work you've got here, and the speed you work with is very inspiring. I look forwards to seeing the finished suit.

Couldn't agree more. Something like this would take me (and most other people, I imagine) about 10x longer

Thank you guys so much :D  Normally I do work at a snails pace, but I really really want to have this baby done for the annual Halloween party we go to... not that anyone is gonna know what the heck I am.. but who cares!!!!

Nothing too exciting tonight, just made my purity seals...... letting them dry before sealing them and attaching the little prayer "parchments". http://obscuruscrusade.com/forum/Smileys/default/smiley.gif

Also made the back plate that goes over my shoulders, to which I will be attaching the every wonderful crowning piece, the pauldrons, and eventually the life support unit pack thingie (though, this part may not be finished by Halloween and I may just replace it with a big red cape or something... I dunno... too Super Sister? http://obscuruscrusade.com/forum/Smileys/default/wink.gif
