Kill Team

Brothers,

Me and 'the boys down at the station' are thinking of doing some kill team games and I was thinking maybe using my BA's, maybe sternguard. I have DAs and they seem cheeper alround, my question is should i even bother thinking about BAs due to their higher points cost? And if i did would they be able to actually put up a decent fight? There's pretty much everything in my meta bar BAs and Nids (thinking crons and SM are going to show up abit.)

I ran 7 DC with bolters and an Attack Bike with multimelta at a recent killteam event at my club. One DC was given a hand flamer and 'Fleshbane', bike got 'FnP' and my last specialist got preferred enemy. My leader was DC dude with no upgrades. Whole squad had loads of cool USR's as standard, and with the bike they all had fnp.

 

Won 4 out of 4 with that list doing enough damage to cause leadership tests as early as poss whilst concentrating on specualist/leaders. Played against suit Tau, Scout marines with speeder, 'nids and horde guard.

As per the 2013 gdub rules. 200pts, no +2 saves, no fliers, full units, ect.

If you are talking about these rules I see nothing about not allowing 2+ saves. Combat Patrol did not allow 2+ saves.

Bummer, no WGTDA or Furiosos in kill team.

 

 

Torrent can be added to weapons that are already template. So a heavy flamer can be made torrent. Unless you are playing a modified version?

The torrent special rule does not say it requires the template special rule to work infact it even says that a weapon should be handled like a template weapon except for certain changes:

When firing a weapon with this special rule, place the template so that the narrow end is within 12" of the weapon and the wide end is no closer to the weapon than the narrow end. The weapon is then treated like any other Template weapon.

The point is moot though because none of the updated kill team rules allow to apply the torrent rule anyways.
