zyl-
As a primarily csm player, I'm trying to start a second army of daemons, but I'm not as familiar with how things work on the table. Does this codex have any units that are basically an auto-take from a competative standpoint? From what I can tell, tzeentch heralds with divination powers and a grimoir are very popular. As are flesh hounds with a jugger herald, fatey, screamers, and bare bones plague bearers. Is that it? TheDevourer
You could also take Daemon Princes with fatey for a circus. Or bloodthirster. I´m also quite fond of horror bombs. 20 horrors with 1 or 2 heralds of tzeentch +1 Strength for spells. And then spam the tzeentch primaris. zyl-
I guess the shorter answer would have been "no." I'm so used to csm that I just assume all codexes should lack internal balance. TheDevourer
What you listed and what i added would be classed as competetive. Everything else is basically playable apart from the tzeentch chariot due to bad rules and a few special characters. Everything is else is ok really. All in all the dex is much better balanced than the csm one. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281013-power-units/#findComment-3476927 Share on other sites
hornywingythingy
This bloc have just revisited their comprehensive review of demons, its very good, but from a very competitive standpoint (they are ATC players) http://daemons40k.blogspot.co.uk/?m=1 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281013-power-units/#findComment-3477098 Share on other sites
