Tallarn and Unremembered Empire is up for pre order

Emperor's Furor

Recommended Posts

You got an abbreviated version as I'm busy reading it

RG does not want to start Imperium Secundus but thinks he's on his own

Warsmith Dantioch is working with RG and has used Xenos tech from the Eastern Fringe to lightbs beacon on Macragge

Iron Hands, Salamanders, Raven Guard, White Scars show up. So does Polux and the surviving IF. A squad of Space Wolves have been sent to keep watch by order of Malcadorm. The Lion arrives with 20000 in his fleet but Curze is still onboard. Vulkan lives

There's an assassination attempt on RG by the Alpha Legion disguised as Thiel and co

John G is trying to get to Macragge. Damon Prytanis is also there

Sorry Hopkins, But appreciate the effort. That fourth point is making me cringe terribly right now though.

re: 4th point, and other things

i've not heard censure, so is there some alpha legion interaction? as i;d not heard of them operating near calth

11 chapters in and i've counted 10 legions and 4 primarchs so far

and going off the cover art, sanguinius and his boys show up too

another thing is that's from RG's point of view, he talks about 18 primarchs, so would that indicate the missing 2 were dealt with before he was found?

he also thinks about the primarch project and wonders if the big E planned for the scattering

So if the Wolves are there on orders from Terra...what's Guilly's excuse for thinking he's alone? Or does he drop the Secundus plan as soon as the Wolves introduce themselves?

old orders

thanks to the ruinstorm he has no way of knowing who's left, what side they're fighting for etc

also

the biggest concern is he's revoked the nikea edict, as they're at war, and he's very aware that the wolves will act at the slightest hint of provocation

now that some key players have responded to the beacon, i'm sure he'll get the bigger picture, but it looks like he's going to declare anyway, albeit very very relunctantly. he does not want this responsibility at all

it's all going to kick off anyway. curze and his boys will surely escape and cause havoc. there's also the cabal vs vulkan plot. add the mistrust between polux and dantioch. plus the lion won't be happy with anything

Ye gods, Dantioch's back? Words cannot express my unending joy. I was so sure that he was going to be left in a fourty page short story for all of history! I'd get the book for that reason and that reason alone, but it has Vulkan in it too! It's like Christmas come early!

dantioch is back, but it's not explained the how and when. vulkan enters where we last left him, falling onto a planet (macragge)

You mean the freaking Lion duels against a Marine? How does that go?

space wolf takes a swing, and the lion cuffs him. he pulls the punch, which is a shame, because the wolves are getting on my nerves and i was hoping he'd take his head clean off

also, concerning the timeline, re: the thramas crusade

the thramas crusade is done and dusted. the lion has sevatar and co held captive. and curze is trapped in the bowels of the ship. and as noted in the imperial truth, corswain has taken an element of the fleet to try and find find russ, but then heads to caliban

I was thinking the exact same question. Vulkan just got dumped from Curze's merry labyrinth of terror and the Night Lords are now holed inside the Lion's ship...?

You're assuming the warp moved linearly. Vulkan just teleported from somewhere in the Eastern Fringe to the very heart of not only Ultramar, but the Ultima Segmentum. Combine that with most conjecture putting Vulkan Lives as Curze was on his way to the Thramas Crusade, Vulkan spent quite a bit of time traveling from Point A to Point B in what is most likely the longest recording teleport in 40K, both in time and distance. So until an official timeline says otherwise, conjecture points to Vulkan taking two years to make it to Macragge. Which would mean that after he leaves, things pick up leading into Savage Weapons, which allows for Curze to begin moving unquestionably in a linear fashion again.

What do the Iron Hands do? Thanks.

Nothing yet. They are just there along with many other survivors of various conflicst

The most important question is how does Curze end up in so many different places in such short periods of time?

Kol has nailed it I believe. Vulkan Lives precedes the Thramas Crusade
