Black Templars Thunderhawk

Hi Guys

I thought I'd share with you the results of one of my modelling projects, my kitbashed thunderhawk. This was made from 2 storm ravens, a rhino, and an assortment of other bits, plasticard and green stuff. It took about 6 months from start to finish, but I'm happy with the result!

Thanks go to 2 guides I found online for making this kind of kitbash; http://warllama40k.blogspot.de/2012/05/how-to-build-kit-bashed-thunderhawk.html and https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.173530059361562.39164.161741390540429. I used a combination of these two methods, as well as some of my own modifications for this, so thanks to both of the authors!

Thanks!

Honda - The turbo laser was tricky to get right, I tried a smooth piece of plastic prior to the storm raven engine, but it came out somewhat...phalic, so this was the better of the two! I think it measures up to 2/3 of a FW Thunderhawk, although to give you a better indication the body is 15" with a wingspan of 13".

Zeruvar - It was made from 2 storm ravens, a rhino, parts of a Baneblades cannon, 2 Land raider Terminus Ultra conversion kits, 2 Black Templar rhino doors, and plasticard and green stuff to fill in the gaps and make the shields. I'm not going to lie, it took a long time to complete!

Awesome conversio work. It does look amazing painted like this. My only remark would be that the turbo laser cannon erected like that seems a bit out of proportion. I guess that  it would look better lowered and  supported by something. But hey, it's just my 2 cents. Congratulations on your superb job!

Thanks!

So the other one was really an Emperor's Children craft?
