Emperors Children Kakophani and Phoenix Guard Terminators

Recommended Posts

I put on offer up another thread to upload pictures of the new Emperors Children Kakophani and Phoenix Guard Terminators so people can see how the models come on their sprues, and take a gander at concealed details, etc.

As someone has asked, I have taken some quick snaps on my phone and uploaded, and if anyone wants more clarity and detail on certain bits I can crack out my proper camera. I'm not planning on building these for a few weeks yet, so plenty of time if people want to see a bit more detail.

First up, the Kakophani:

The entire set:

Just the torsos:

As a quick aside on the Phoenix Terminators, the spears and shoulder pads come in a seperate clampack to avoid bending / snapping the spears - good job FW!

Ask and you shall receive.

I broke out my camera, and tried to make a rudimentory light box to try and get the best pictures, but I'm far from any sort of decent photographer.

Here are the main guys ( Idecided to get some of the whole torsos, and there should be enough to get a good view of the heads):

Annoyingly all the weapons are identical, it would have been nice if there were 2-3 different sculpts in there:

I have no plans to sell these, I'll ultimately get round to building and painting these. Plus I don't like the opportunistic nature of buying pre-release models and books and selling them for profit - nothing against people doing that, as some people will really appreciate the opportunity to get these who couldn't get to UK Games Day, it's just not my thing.

THankyou for posting these, the sculpts really are great.

I had thought the torso and head were seperate, does it look like theyd be able to be cut apart?

Could you post a closer image of the Kakophoni shoulder pads please?

Really appreciate this, I live on the other side of the world and theres not much chance of me seeing these otherwise :)

I'll be honest, I think cutting the torso and head apart are going to be really difficult - you'll have destroy the head in the process, and the back of the head / helmet  is molded onto the back collar of the torso. That's before you consider the pipes going from the faces onto the torso fronts, it;s just not going to happen very easily.

The Kakophani shoulder pads aren't too special. One side is the standard Emperors Children Mk IV shoulder pad (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/The_Horus_Heresy/Legiones_Astartes/Emperors_Children/EMPERORS_CHILDREN_LEGION_MKIV_SHOULDER_PADS.html), and the other is a blank Mk IV pad with a very small motif in one of corners. I'll see if I can get a pic of that soon, but it's almost not worth it really.

Regards
