Warhamsters! (Picture heavy)

Before I rush out the door to work, I have a few more pictures to post. These will be of my Warhamster Terminators, or as I like to call them... MY BADGER GUARD!

I thought I'd do something a little different with them, so I made them Badgers instead of Hamsters.

They are also painted in a slightly different color. I cannot take full credit for the paint job, as my friend Lexx (she's a paint monkey, ya know...) did most of the work. I did black lining and some additional detail work.

Here is the first squad. They are designed to be run with Logan Ham-star. The one with the red cape gets promoted to leader and joins the Grey Hunters (I gave him a combi-melter). The squad of the remaining four, as well as Logan, get loaded into the KIA and hopefully do something epic...

Here ya go...

Yeah, I know... just when I got ya'all comfortable with the thought of Space Hamsters, I go and throw Space Badgers at you! Some threads are just not safe to enter anymore...

Thanks again for all the kind comments!

Perhaps ya'all can help me make a decision... Some of the Badger Guard have blank shoulder pads on the right side. I was kinda thinking on sticking a "13" there like I had on the Grey Hunters...but with theirs on the other side, would that seem odd?

Very fun indeed and handsomely made.

As for the 13, that's just how it is, on Terminators the "Badge" is on the other shoulder-coherent in terms of backround. But you could always swap the 13 out for sth. else, like the eye of aversion or sth. like that.

HECK YEAH, WARHAMSTERS!  You were right, Dean, they do look a lot better with the additional black-lining, I'll be sure to do that on marines i paint in the future!

(By the by I am the infamous Paint-Monkey, Lexx, hello and thank you for all paw-fives!)

Okie Dokie... the second squad of Badger Guard are finished and ready for display!...

This last one I REALLY like, Lexx did an incredible job and decided to make this chap an albino!

The KIA is next! Maybe tomorrow...

What colour did you use for the armour?

For the Grey Hunters I used a rather unique mix of colors...

The Luftwaffe Uniform WWII was used as my base coat. The Russian Tankcrew is what I used to highlight it up (mixing in white for the top highlight),

I believe Lexx used the standard Space Wolves Colors to do the Badger Guard...

Next, a note about "black-lining"...

dear god oh mighty what the hell is this!!!.....this is awesome!!! fantastic faces, what does redhamster count as? dreadnought? i would love to see some giant riding hamsters otherwise known as Thunderhamsters!! also it would be fun to see a hamster wheel somewhere in the force smile.png

Bran Redmaw is a special character out of the Forge World books. The "Redhamster" (they call him The "Redmaw") is what Bran transforms into (hopefully) sometime during the game.

HECK YEAH, WARHAMSTERS!  You were right, Dean, they do look a lot better with the additional black-lining, I'll be sure to do that on marines i paint in the future!

Just a careful line here and there, only took me about 10 minutes. It seems to work best on armor and vehicles, anything that has really hard lines.

You know I think this all can be a great proxy for 13th Company.

MUSHROOM MUSHROOM!

LOL, I said it twice but I'll say it again. Awesome sauce! Strangely enough, the badger terminators looked much more serious than the hamsters one. Maybe to my mind, the humble badger IS a ferocious animal capable of fighting animals bigger than itself, much like the famed wolverine.

I especially like the badger with the bandage over its eyes.

Just so y'all know, the pics are great but don't do seeing the little rats, er, hamsters justice.  I've taken them on twice already with my Legion of the Darned; spanked the terminators, got crushed by the werehamster.

And yes, in case you were wondering, while we are all returning to the tabletop, there is always ale (or mead) and levity in abundance.

Okay.

So I have finished it.

...for the most part...

I present the...

WARHAMSTER WAR-KIA!!!

I took quite a number of pictures, hope you like!

awesome stuff .

kudos to the painter too (paw-five) the only addition i could have thought of would have been a wheel on the side of or implanted in the middle back of the landraider with a hamster powering it !!

great work anyways, was worth looking at for the chuckle value teehee.gif
