AekoldHelbrass
First book weights like a hundred kilos, probably a tiny bit less than my BattleFoam 1520 bag with 4800 points army. Second book will add another hundred kilos to that. In addition, both books are so amazing you would not want to wear them down with constant usage and carrying them in a bag. I've asked FW if they're planning to do some kind of digital edition because I want my book to be in perfect condition on a shelf, and they answered no because it is a collectors item. What's your solution for that problem? The only solution I've found for myself so far is printing some pages from illegal pdf (because I do not even want to put my beautiful book onto scanner), but I would prefer something similar to GW The Rules book, which is beautiful, rigid and proper size to carry. Emperor's Furor
I guess the only way is to have a bag dedicated to just carrying them, although I agree if you have to take it to GW shops or gaming clubs it's a lot to carry when you also have models. Russ Brother 92
I'm not sure really - equally short of having a separate bag or as much as you don't want to, scan and print/upload the key pages - at least for the units you use, that way you've got them on pdf or your laptop/tablet. sorry mate Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281353-bringing-the-book-to-the-war/#findComment-3484276 Share on other sites
Reasonable Commissar
Buy the actual book and keep it safe on a shelf then go and download a pdf copy to actually use. I use my pdf copy far more than my actual book copy. Kais Klip
Aekold, brother, I believe your armour took on a shade of purple and gold there :D Come on lads, these books are of the same quality as the models; they look better with a bit of classy weathering. It puts codexes to shame so well just plopping it on the table gets me a few converts each time, and if that fails just mutter "Oh I didn't know Horus could do that" a few times right in front of them. Besides, we're looking at revisions on what, 4 years max if not three. Sevatar
I scanned my book into PDF form, put one copy on my Kindle, printed out the rules section for gaming, and I have the original hard copy Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281353-bringing-the-book-to-the-war/#findComment-3484574 Share on other sites
Brother Captain Lucian
I bought a car to transport it. That it transports me to work is just a added benefit, it was for the book originally.
