Azash
I know this is a locked topic but this is new info directly from the codex author. If your skeptical about that at least it confirms the FAQ is in the pipeline and grav will be addressed by it. So I came across this on Faeit 212... a person at UK Games Day where they were able to ask Cruddace himself how grav weapons work with vehicles. To summarize the answer; vehicles are allowed cover saves from grav weapons. The additional immobilized results remove an additional hull point. So rolling two 6's would remove 3 hull points and immobilize the vehicle. They also confirmed an FAQ was coming and grav weapons would be in it. Grey Mage
So... when you find a new bit of information you can ask us to open the thread- just PM one of the admins, or preferrably myself of Darkguard and well unlock it if it is in fact new. Ok? Ok. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281377-grav-weapon-ruling-rumor/#findComment-3485110 Share on other sites
Leonaides
So rolling 2 6's would actually destroy just about any vehicle that isnt a Landraider or Monolith...? Eek, thats nasty... Gentlemanloser
But at least the Wave Serpents get a cover save! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281377-grav-weapon-ruling-rumor/#findComment-3485397 Share on other sites
Venemox
So rolling 2 6's would actually destroy just about any vehicle that isnt a Landraider or Monolith...? Eek, thats nasty... Contributing to the further decline of the vehicles. Makes those highly mobile grav bikers very nasty. pyroknight
Just need "tank hunters" for rerolls...sounds like IF Centurian Devestators are going to be really nasty against all ground vehicles. Lysere
Just need "tank hunters" for rerolls...sounds like IF Centurian Devestators are going to be really nasty against all ground vehicles. They already get a re-roll so pointless. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281377-grav-weapon-ruling-rumor/#findComment-3485705 Share on other sites
Dam13n
Grav Centurions have Grav-amps which give them re-rolls to-wound and "to-batter vehicles" So Tank Hunters on them does nothing... Imperial Fist Centurions should take T.L. Lascannons and Missile Launchers and an Omniscope on the Sergeant, to best make use of Tank Hunters (plus Split Fire), IMHO. If you're planning on Gravs, then Iron Hands or Ultras are arguably the way to go (Or Korsarro Khan and pop the Centurions in a Land Raider for scouting shenanigans).
