DanPesci
@G.A.K. & Lysere: that was my bad , that was my lack of attention. It should be Dread, not Pred. My appologies. @ Wulfebane & DanPesci: DW are painted white, right. His were white as we're his drop pods. @ Denison: I have the misfortune of working with him in my clinic. He walks around with a cocky smile until he sees me, then is a scornful grimace. Others we work with think its hilarious... If hes playing dark angels, with no allies, then the only terminators he can take are deathwing, or the deathwing knights...neither can go in drop pods. In fact, im pretty sure (i say pretty, only becuase i havent read much of the new CSM), that space wolves are the ONLY codex that allow you to take TDA in drop pods. My bad, I assumed that with an initiative, dreads were subject to falling. Either way... ...aye as mentione previously..you cant actually use jaws on dreadnoughts...even though they have an initiative value and are a walker..so you think theyd be susceptible to falling down a big hole...however they apparently have some sort of anti-grav floating device that stops this happening (as do vehicles apparently).....to me it would have jsut made more sense to say anything on a base bigger than a terminator base is simply too big to be affected..but there ya go either way...thats you simply misreading the rules for JotWW (which he could have checked). The other guy is outright cheating by having TDA in drop pods and trying on that WYSYWIG crap which isnt even in the rulebook. Because everyone else has enough sense to use teleporters on their tda units. MustangTC
I thought a dread was a valid target for jaws because its a walker and it has an initiative value? Lysere
Jaws only specifies a small range of units. Vehicles are not on that list. It was for this reason that in 5th jump units were immune to it, but now anything that is either a infantry, bike, or monstrous creature can be targeted by it. Vehicles simply are not an option. Also the Initiative value has nothing to do with being a target.
