Urauloth
I don't have any TWC, but I've picked up quite a few of the rider components from ebay recently as they're fantastic additions to my grey hunters and wolf guard. Now, obviously the heads, backpacks, arms and weapons (which I have) work fine, and the legs (which I don't) aren't going to be any use to me, but since I've never actually seen the torsos "in the flesh" so to speak, I'm not entirely sure where I stand with those. My question is, to what degree are they sculpted to fit the seated pose? Do they work on infantry models, or do they only attach properly to the legs from their own kit? The bitz store I buy from only has pictures of them from the front, which makes it hard to tell. I did notice that they are a tiny bit wider on regular leg bits, but it could only be the one leg I used it on. There are plenty of unboxing videos on YouTube that might help you look further. --EDIT-- This torso is from the TWC and as you can see from my gunslinger, they attach properly onto regular leg bits. d@n
The thunder wolf legs work well, for missile launcher long fangs. They look like there squatting down, bracing for the recoil. Also I think you would probably clip of one of the legs, swap it for a normal leg and have a him with one leg on a defeated emeny, but I have not tried that yet. Urauloth
Excellent, cheers. I love the look of the torsos (the one with the fangs on the breastplate in particular is great) so I'll pick some of these up with my next bitz order. I'm gonna have to disagree with you on using those legs for long fangs. In my opinion it won't work and it would look really silly. But you can try it for yourself, post a pic and prove me wrong. Esthetically it would look horrendous. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281633-thunderwolf-cavalry-torsos/#findComment-3490361 Share on other sites
Deathscream
I also disagree with using the straddling legs for your long fangs. Anatomically, they are just not right. S a talbard or fur in there, or even fit one of the sculpted ones found in many of the marine kits. The back packs from the kit are also great sculpts!! And who HASN'T wanted a holstered bolt gun/pistol done all wolfy!!
