BrotherJim
ok wolf brothers, suffice to say, I am pretty slow at this whole internet thing... I barely make it out of the w.i.p logs section. anyway I have a space wolves army that I have been working on for the last few years, and I just started a project log, so I realised I could/should probably post it here too! also I am in the midst of completing some blood claws and I realised I probably could/should have contributed to the E.T.L.... at the moment I don't want to bite off more than I can chew, but I thought I should at least share it here with my brethren i'll spare you all the drama about whats left to be done, what my dreams are, problems ive faced etc. for the full story follow the link in my sig. however I will gift you with some extra photos not previously shared! if I remember I will keep this log up to speed with my other one (sure hope im not breaking any rules here!) feel free to chime in with any thoughts, comments or critisims ok here we go! *ahem* first some theme music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guTTGJ_PK2Q brace yourself for massive photos! the army scouts first wolfguard greyhunters more wolf guard, rune preist, wolf priest this is where im up to, still a lot to be done reason for edit - link didn't work! ErikThunderclaws
Wow! I love them! How did you do the fur cloaks for the Wolf Guard? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281646-jims-space-wolves-wip/#findComment-3515785 Share on other sites
BrotherJim
cheers mate glad you like em! the cloaks came from the warriors of chaos, and not without a lot of cutting! first I built them up completely then I grabbed some cloaks. then I cut them up and rebuilt them with blu-tac. take your time with the shoulder pads, only trimming away as much as you need. you may need to cut away some if the butt area. roll a ball of green stuff and fix the chest to the cloak, and a smaller ball and fix the chest to the legs. push and pull until it looks right, use another marine as reference. the main thing is making sure you get enough depth and height in the chest. in the end I used plasticard on the back of the chest to save green stuff. leave it to set overnight. come back and do the shoulders. roll two balls of green stuff and set them where the shoulders should be, cover them with the shoulder pads. use a tool to back fill the shoulders and smooth out the gaps cut your arms at the elbow and pin them. once the shoulders have set you can drill some holes. back fill all gaps with green stuff or liquid green stuff, do what ever it takes to get the head on... sorry I can't give you some pictures to go with, ive got 5 dudes that are wip if you wana take a look? might compel me to finish them Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281646-jims-space-wolves-wip/#findComment-3515825 Share on other sites

Sigvard
Good work brother. These guys are looking great. The Wolf Guard especially are brilliant conversions. My question is how did you manage to get the colour of chapter so spot on. I have warred with this colour since the release of the new paints and my failure to get it right shames me. BrotherJim
cheers mate im glad ppl like them, ive been looking at them for so long the magic has worn off a little,so its great to hear people like them.Haha you might be disappointed, its a Tamiya colour, follow the link in my sig to my wip log, there is a mini tutorial at the bottom of pg 1 and beginning of page 2...Any questions just ask,Most folks dont like tamiya colours, but you just have to work with them a little, they are not consumer friendly Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281646-jims-space-wolves-wip/#findComment-3516469 Share on other sites

BrotherJim
alrighty folks time for an update! lots of work has been done here and there, plus some new additions, between this log and my other one, (and my gallery, for extra credit) I think I have shown most of my army. so whats happening now is that I have actually started playing some games! I feel like I have levelled up, everything has just become ten times more awesome! so ive written up a 1500pts list and here it is for your viewing pleasure, I wont tell you the list because everything is wyswyg except I am short 1 missile launcher, if your looking at the army and wondering where all the points went, they went to my wolf lord and rune priest. they are tooled up to the max. feel free to judge and offer critique. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZyq2GC-iR4 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281646-jims-space-wolves-wip/#findComment-3541392 Share on other sites
