Is Photobucket still the go-to for image hosting?

Recommended Posts

Questions in the thread title really. I vaguely remember hearing something about it turning rubbish, is that just me hallucinating again? If it is crap now, where's best to use?

P.S - The PCA link here is that I just signed up for the Call, and have no idea where to host my stuff.

The bandwidth is really only an issue if your posting the same stuff on multiple forums frequently, I've been using Photobucket since the B&Cs crash and have never had an issue. I find it's interface and usability very user friendly. I use apps to upload straight from my phone, and getting to links is straight forward. The only thing to be mindful of is to set up albums and organise prior to posting as moving the images later will nuke the links.

I'm going to disagree with Ludovic's suggestion of relying solely on something like Flickr- in my personal experience using that website (flickr) to post images to this board: roughly 50% of the images are not accepted when I paste the image code on the B&C.

Multiple photo hosting accounts, as annoying as it is, covers all your bases so you can get your pics onto the website in a variety of ways in case the b&c coder doesn't like one of the options.

I just use the B&C, especially now that the speed issues are resolved :D  But I also keep my pics saved in a folder on my desktop, just in case.

I actually have lost one image that I can't seem to find again anywhere, and that has me a little ticked off, seeing as I lost the source material as well. :(
