Da Taz
So what do you like for the sisters heavy weapons slots? Heavy Bolters, Multi-meltas or heavy flamers? Or the tank? The Engines? Me I like the Tank! Of course with my luck I have been known to have shot over twenty missiles at someone and still not kill them! LOL! Dread
I used 3 excorsists tanks in our game earlier, rolled 6 shots just once. Blew the vindicator off the board with one and the thunderfire cannon with another. Love my tanks. Hmm, just thinking, we need to change the heading on our forum page to Adepta Soritas, hmm just a thought. Warsmith Aznable
Heavy. Bolters. A squad of Retributors behind an Aegis throwing a wall of lead downrange. It's a beautiful thing. Mine have been so effective that they've earned the dubious honour of being highest target priority of my regular gaming partner. hallodx
As long as mates allow proxies of some degree I take whirlwinds... I mean excorsists. They are the only true long range support for sisters after all. Da Taz
I'm hoping that there is something in this new codex that will allow us to use the Retributor's as a flak unit! Or allow the Exorcist with flak missiles. I also use up to three Exorcist's in most games. With the WD codex and the command squad for a cannoness I now run three heavy bolters in that squad. I can't wait until I get home and get my hands on the new codex and see what I can do with my Sister's! Since I have around 150+ Most of them painted (Argent Shroud). I hope it fixes at least some of the problems. I have one of each type of Retributor. Heavy Flamers, Heavy Bolters and Multi-meltas with ten sisters each and a rhino. I just may have to buy some of the MK2 Rhinos and then get the convert kits and make them for the Retributors! Then after I place them use the APCs to carry stuff like Repentia! LOL! Love running them up to a bunch of vehicles and dropping them off so they can run up and "Can Openner!" them! Or run them into some termies! Dread
From what I've read on some of the other posts, Retributors look like they are going to be forced into mixed hvy weapons. This is actually okay but the days of un-assing an immolator with 4 hvy flamer/vet combi-flamer toting girls will be of the past unless they're creating a new unit that allows this. Not complaining, just observing. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281866-sisters-heavy-weapons/#findComment-3494374 Share on other sites
AdmLancel
Heavy Support is typically taken up with Heavy Bolter Retributors or Exorcists in the current codex. It might change with the new codex of course. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281866-sisters-heavy-weapons/#findComment-3494384 Share on other sites

WarriorFish
Exos or Heavy Bolter Rets, the choices are pretty much made for you! A couple of Exos and a Ret squad with HBs will usually see you right :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281866-sisters-heavy-weapons/#findComment-3494398 Share on other sites

tvih
I have 4 heavy bolters for my retributors. It's just sad the HB cost will almost certainly rise to 10 before I ever get to field these babi... err, ladies. oreaper84
i almost always run 2 exo's and a heavy bolt ret behind a quad gun ageis. my rets behind ageis almost always out perform the exo's but thats my rolling for ya. ill roll ones and twos for shots (i equate this to the miss keying like that scene the goonies) but for one turn they will pop out 11-12 shots and absolutley overkill something Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/281866-sisters-heavy-weapons/#findComment-3494561 Share on other sites

CaptainHelion
It's hard to go past a pair of Exorcists and a squad of Heavy Bolter Rets. It just manages to cover all the bases (Bar skyfire, but let's not talk about that). Naminé
Penitent Engines! I love the way they tear things apart, and have 6 Heavy flamers :) The only HS option I haven't tried is Retris with Multimeltas, for obvious reasons, but in most games I run them with Heavy Bolters alongside my pen engines and an exorcist. *Furyou Miko
I've been running a three-way split. One HB Retri squad, one Exorcist and one Avenger Strike Fighter. Warsmith Aznable
I normally do 1 Retributor HB squad and 2 Exorcists, but I'm looking forward to putting my Avenger into the mix as well. ValourousHeart
I generally run 2-3 PE along side 2 Exorcists. Even if the PE don't get to CC, I love watching my opponent's mad scramble to not let them get too close. Da Taz
I really don't like the MM much. If you run them everyone keeps their tanks away. They don't have a very long range and you really don't move and shoot very well. However, if you do get a shot, things die!
