Lucius Pattern Drop Pod and Bjorn Fellhand Dreadnaught

Recommended Posts

Valerian, I just found these cleaning up. I know why you don't remember the Dreds riding in Rhinos.

You should get a kick out of this.

And to make things a little stranger.

Both in fantastic condition.  I miss the old days some times.

The problem is B&C not the pictures. Click the blog link in my sig. I linked these same pictures from their.

I didn't take pictures of the other side of the cards because it's just a damage chart and I had only mentioned transport capacity.

It did for my WWP playing Deldar mate.

He stopped playing all together when GW ripped the heart out of his army with the release of 6th.

Edit: Also forgot Fliers from the list.

Fliers have ruined the game as they just isn't enough Anti Air available.

Yep closecombat got hit with the nerfstick, to much overwatch, to much bonus from just sitting back and fire.

But fliers arent that bad and there is more than enough anti air available if you are willing to get it, if not than it your own problem not that of gw.

But the real thing that is ruining this hobby (for gw) is the ridiculous pricing on kits. For example: 45 euro for 10 fantasy wyches or 22.50 euro for 10 40k Wyches, 1st one  with just a head/weapon swap the 2nd one with bonus heads and tons of options, there is no logic behind this.

I stopped trying to understand GWs pricing strategy when they increased the cost of dire avengers whilst simultaneously halving the number of models in the box... It's one of the main reasons why I haven't got anything from GW bar a squad of thunder wolves and illic nightspear in the past two or three years. I'd rather convert and eBay bits I want. It's a shame because I used to buy kits mostly for the extras to use in conversions...

But that's way, way off topic.

As for the 'nerf' it was a massively powerful ability to give to a dreadnaught. It's bad enough having a unit of marines assaulting from reserve (old vanguard) but at least any unit has a chance of damaging them. Dreadnaughts are mostly impervious to standard infantry, especially when it's armour 13 and a character so can kill power fist sergeants.

I think the shrouded rule is actually incredibly fitting and would quite like to see it carried over to normal pods, or at least stealth, to represent the amount of dust and rubbish thrown up by a drop pod.

I'm not sure about that GM...

I am. Its a unit entry, to be used as it were in your codex if you allow the expansion- wich is the core rules earlier in the same book. Codex overrides core rules, expansion overrides other core rules like they were advanced rules, works out well in the end.

Agree with you GM. That is why you can run a tyrants army or siege assault armies as viable lists (baddab)..I think there is a ork army and the imperial guard (imperial armour 1 2nd ed.) specific forge world army too.
