GK who Survived 1st Armageddon War

I've just noticed that out of the 13 (?) GK who survived, at least 5 are named in our Dex!

 

They are;

 

Arvann Stern

Caddon Varn

Dhark Tegvar

Vorth Mordrak

Garran Crowe

 

Then there's;

 

Hyperion

Mundulis

 

Depending on which version of the fluff you consider canon.

 

Can't traw the lexicanum for more, as it won't load for me today. :(

It's interesting when you think about the broader implications of the First War, in terms of the Long Game. 

 

The Knights were faced with a choice at Armageddon; either they callously murder the entire population and forever be marked as honourless cowards by the Space Wolves, or they sacrifice their own lives to save Armageddon. Out of the ashes of that terrible price they paid, they forged heroes the Chapter would need in the dark days ahead, taught lessons they'd never learn from any other conflict. I consider it more than any other recorded battle, the perfect encapsulation of what it means to be a Grey Knight. They're the most expensive, most precious and most effective weapon the Emperor ever gifted to his people, and they still have to choose to die like any other soldier when the time comes.
