Good Escort for Jump Squad With Jump captain

Ive been working on the "leave No force isolated" approach and I am looking for some kind of escort to go with my 12 man Jump Squad. It has a basic Librarian with an axe and a jump pack. A captain/Chpt Master with Teeth of terra, Shield Eternal, and jump pack and a full Assault Squad.

I was looking at a bike squad to escort and LotD to deepstrike next to them in a later round. Any other Suggestions?

Well, my first thought was bikers, I admit, but it depends on where they are coming in from.  If you brought them in via Stormraven, the answer is the 'Raven itself and a dreadnought. Might have to reduce your squad though.

If you deep strike, you could support them with terminators or land speeders, but in both cases you could also easily find yourself with one unit coming in on one turn and the other unit coming in on a different turn.  (Any time you hold something in reserve, this is a problem.)

If you start on the board, theoretically a mechanized unit could keep up for the first turn.  If you use RG tactics, you'd also be able to scout some transports forward and get some support that way.  Land speeders again come to mind or you could see if a 'Talon might work (though it can't start on the board).

A librarian with Gate likewise could bring units into supporting position.

You also could consider a TFC or a Whirlwind support because of the range with which they can reach out and touch someone.  Maybe any long range weapon system.

Finally, other jump troops can be supporting units.  Granted, we don't have anything like DE scourges so these guys would be support more in the assault.

With Assault Marines, Rhino mounted Tactical/Sternguard/Command squads are your best bet. You can use the Rhinos as a screen while advancing, and you've got shooty units to bring a combine arms approach. At least use a Tactical squad with them to claim any objectives they may clear.

Bikes aren't a bad shout either, but then both suffer from being caught in the open and therefore vulnerable to anti-infantry weapons.
