Incoming Sisters webcomic

Because most people who want 'fallen sisters' are pubescent men?

Do people really think there's nothing more to Slaneesh than sex ?

No, but where Sisters are concerned is very often goes there. ermm.gif It's both trite and, to be frank, misogynistically subversive; women are already poorly represented in virtually all (pardon the term) "nerd media," more object than character, with tragically few exceptions. Thus, many Sisters aficionados (myself included) get a bit defensive when the often recycled Slaaneshi Idea rears its ugly mug. So, unless a given player's infected Sisters are all overtly fully clothed Kiss-style 80s Hairband Heavy Metal Guitarists wielding Noise Marine-style sidearms, whose only desire is to rock you to death with killer guitar solos and an impressive fireworks display, you will run into guarded (and at times bristly) skepticism every time.

it is in the nature of the subject matter of being slaanesh that is not in and of itself wrong, but is unfortunatly typcast our beloved sisters in yet another potential for creepy S&M seductions. Though in any potential authors defence, i believe Sisters are one of the hardest factions in 40k to write about. It usually ends up being pious and boring or perverted, not to mention we the fanbase are hardcore and WILL JUMP DOWN YOUR THROAT if you dare misstep in the representation of our girls. i soppose we must wait to see what to make of this.

Myth has an academic meaning different from its "popular" meaning, so anyone who takes offense to it can be safely ignored.

Moving right along, why is it always Slaanesh with Sisters of Battle? Oh yeah...

Another question: can a Living Saint even be tainted? Isn't the point of saints that they are so pure that the Big E grants them special power in order to enact his will?

Without this sounding like self promotion, the story I'm writing, in which the Sister who was possessed by a Greater Daemon of Slaanesh (and rumoured to have Saint Lucia in there as well trying to get said Daemon to Feth off because she got there first...) nearly succumbed because of her deeply buried dislike (hate in the case of one) of her Sisters, which in turn was an even deeper rooted sense of insecurity, not because of the conventional "Slaaneshy" things.

I suppose like all things, a concept is only as good as it is written. In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing how this shapes up, mainly as the other 40K related comic stuff I follow has either stopped, or has a very erratic schedule sad.png

I have some of the older graphic novels and would love to see some new stuff. As far as the writing goes, I would love to see a graphic novel done of Hammer and Anvil as well as Faith and Fire. IMHO, I thought they are well written and I enjoyed them.  Even a cartoon or CG done of them would be great. I'm up to read anything sis related and see if I like it.
