Office temp
It states in the BRB that a stationary vehicle counts as ws 0 when assaulted, however ws 0 isn't even on ws matrix. Do you still hit on 3s? I can't seem to find anything about that in the rule book Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282280-assaulting-stationary-vehicles/ Share on other sites
Hyuzanriu
You auto hit if a vehicle has not moved the turn before it was assaulted. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282280-assaulting-stationary-vehicles/#findComment-3502976 Share on other sites
Quixus
Yes: It is worth explaining the mechanic behind the chart: if the target's WS is lower than the attacker's, he is hit on 3+; if the target's WS is equal or up to twice as high as the attacker's, he is hit on 4+; and if it is more than twice as high, he hits on 5+. P. 76 of the rulebook has no rule changing this for vehicles that have not moved. hallodx
But be aware walkers have their own WS so you always compare yours to theirs. The only difference is you can hit the back armor instead of front if it's immobilized. Hymirl
Did any of you guys actually read the question before you type random comments? The OP asked where the rules are for hitting models with WS 0. So the answer is page 3 of the main rule book under "zero level characteristics' which tells you if WS0 models get hit automatically or not. You need the page reference because if you're playing a game you may need to show a rule to your opponent, simply saying "oh some guy on the Internet says it's this.." isn't going to get very far. Ahhh, there it is. Thanks, I can't believe I missed that! That would be page 16 of the iPad edition Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282280-assaulting-stationary-vehicles/#findComment-3503337 Share on other sites

The OP asked where the rules are for hitting models with WS 0. Actually, the question was "Do you still hit on 3s?", which was answered in the first reply. It would have been helpful if the writers repeated that in the section about attacking vehicles. WS 0 is pretty standard for vehicles. Please don't waste time with this kind of pedantic behaviour again, Thank you. hallodx
It's at page 3. A model with Weapon Skill '0' is incapacitated; they are hit automatically in close combat and cannot strike any blows. True enough but I think much of the new rule book has been written with the thought in mind to do as much cross referencing as possible rather than requoting the rules so that should things be amended you only need to update a specific part of the book.
