Legion Squad tactics

Just a curiosity really but it plausible that certain Legions squads would employ similar small-squad based tactics employed by modern militaries in particular special forces ?
Or would the need to seek cover, advance under support, clearence tactics etc be negated by their equipment (power armour etc) and training (transhuman) ?

Most of the fiction still has them using some modern tactics. However, it seems to be entirely dependent on the author. I've read stuff that has Marines in power armor charging through a hail of fire and at the same time read other stories that had a Marine taking shelter from a barrage of lasgun fire.

According to must books and fluff Ive read marines either charge in massive shock waves or operate in squad size operations. Most resently Ive been reading Fallen Angels and theres a squad of veterans, along with a techmarine and a chaplain sneaking into a renegade Mechanicus manufactorum. And marines do indeed seek cover, advance under support and such. Power armour is powerfull, but not indestructible.

Aye think of them as the SF teams nowadays - they 'might' have the best kit around but it won't stop a 0.50cal taking your arm/leg/head off - the same way PA will stop lasguns and 'solid' rounds all day, a lascannon or autocannon will tear limbs off - will they take cover, well would you? :)
