Dozer Blades and Siege Shield

Hi guys,

 

I've recently been motivated to craft a dozer blade for my Land Raider. Checking online I've only found the Giant Siege Shield type ones. Making Vassal Battle Reports I've come to like the small side to side ones that vassal uses.

I think they look pretty cool. I've found similar ones that Kromech makes, but really don't want to spend the money, as I have everything I need to make them (Minus the skill :p ).

 

 

I'm not a pro, but I started making my own. So far this is what I've come up with

I sanded the LR dozer blades (the bottom ones) and added some green stuff.

It's still rough and I need to sand them to square them up some when they dry.

Mocked up on the LR they come closer to the Vassal ones, I think.

I plan on adding some muddy script on them to match the rest of the LR.

 

 

What do you guys think? Good, bad? do you like a siege shield type dzr for your LR? have you made you own custom one?

This is the mock up of the Rhino's blade. Like the LR Dzr Blade it still need a little work, but are close to finished. I plan on magnetizing it.

My Siege Shield still needs a little sanding and some rivets. I seldom go without it, so I'll probably just have it fixed in place. I like the GW one, but again I don't want to buy a new one if I can make mine work.

My Whirl wind. It works good as a proxy and allows me to use it as a Rhino or Razor Back.

nice work on the blades. have you considered adding another rack of missiles to the whirlwind to compensate for the smaller size of the cyclones?
