Rafen IX
Question brothers, Is it only independent characters that meph can use this on? Recently I've been playing against tyranids and I think only two characters in his entire codex are listed as that. Plus his Shadow of the Warp makes psychic tests a major gamble. Can it be used on characters? Is it worth fielding the meph aka 'the situational **** train' against nids with these handicaps. Obviously being careful what to engage with him seems key I.e. don't charge him into a hive tyrant with lash whips and boneswords. Drachnon
Latest erata rules for the gaze are: Page 47 – Mephiston, Lord of Death, Transfixing Gaze. Change first sentence to: “At the start of the Fight sub-phase, Mephiston can attempt to enthral a single enemy independent character in base contact” Which clearly states independent character, so any other form of characters are unaffected. Looks like you're out of luck. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282473-mephistons-transfixing-gaze/#findComment-3506130 Share on other sites
Rafen IX
Drat, thanks Drachon. I will more than likely still take him today. If he fluffs or gets nommed I'll try a prescience librarian next time :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282473-mephistons-transfixing-gaze/#findComment-3506133 Share on other sites
