nurglespuss
Hi guys, well, I've decided to take a meander into Chaos for a while, and while I mull over colour schemes etc. I concocted this chap! Yes he's a massive terminator on a bike! - But, will be representing a Mutilator (I think the mass makes it acceptable). Anyway, what do you think? It's mental I know! - and I love the terrifying concept ;p I'm thinking of either a black and silver Khornate army, or ... something ;p http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-20131028175210.jpg?w=604http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-20131028175214.jpg?w=604http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-20131028175218.jpg?w=604 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282498-chaos-terminator-on-a-bike/ Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
Shockingly, he seems more appropriate to the size of the bike than the PA marine does. SunThirster
This is great, I was a bit skeptical when I read the title but you've really pulled it off well. He looks scary as hell! If you'd like some c&c, then I would add something like tassles, chains, banners etc blowing behind him, doesn't have to be much. This adds the travelling at high speed illusion and I found it made my bikes look more realistic and dynamic. Anyway great job, first termy i've seen on a bike! Rob_Loken
That is awesome. And can only echo Brother Pheidias. That is a Heavy Metal album cover in the making. Kierdale
It looks far better than I expected! As SunThirster suggested, some chains flying out behind (stiffened with superglue) would looks excellent. Son of Carnelian
Man, did I shudder when I saw that title. Yet somehow you pulled it off and made it look effortless. Fantastic conversion! Corsair
I feel like the thing that would make this that much more awesome is extending the front wheel and going full chopper. Well that and maybe a terminator sized shotgun haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282498-chaos-terminator-on-a-bike/#findComment-3507206 Share on other sites
nurglespuss
Thanks all for the great feedback! I had time today to briefly put some paint down, so here are some quick WIP shots (sorry for the lighting) but you get the idea, Metal, black head/Shoulder pad, bit of red gore and brown, trying to keep it fairly simple for a quickly painted gaming army while I have even more limited time ;p I will add to the squad later (I haven't even picked up the codex yet! a friend suggested I use him as a Juggernaught as Mutilators aren't that good, we shall see!) He needs some more highlighting, maybe a Khorne symbol or two, application of dist and basing but then he'll be done :) http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-2013102920255.jpg?w=604http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-2013102920259.jpg?w=604http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-20131029202513.jpg?w=604http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-20131029202517.jpg?w=604http://angelsofbaal.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/savedpicture-20131029202521.jpg?w=604 As far as my mini 'in head' story for them so far, it would seem the Lords of Metal were a fierce but loyal chapter of space marines, that were fleet based, and regularly fought actions on behalf of the Inquisition (Ordo Malleus). However, in one fateful encounter with the forces of Chaos, they were doomed by the foolish actions of a questionable Inquisitor. His, now unknown, course of action resulted in the Lords of Metal being 'cursed' with the mark of Khorne (rather than gifted) they fought what they perceived as a contagion of rage for as long as they could but, inevitably succumbed, turning into raging brutes. The Lords of Metal now have a single aim - revenge against the universe for their cruel misfortune, revenge against everything.
