Toxichobbit
...for some alternate Guardsmen. Just think, whenever you roll a 6 you can shout "I love the Corps!". And here's a size comparison. Apologies for the xeno(morph)s in the picture, but it's the only picture of the Marines alongside a GW scale model I can find and I know full well that when looking for alternatives to GW scale is very important to some of us. Honestly, they seem a bit tall compared to the Necron, but still better scale than some other alternatives i've seen. Assuming this project goes ahead, i'll be picking some up. Probably won't use them alongside 40k as i'm a bit of a starch arse when it comes to mixing genres and keeping tihngs in scale (well, as close as you can get to "in scale" with GW), i'll just be happy enough finally having some Colonial Marine man dolies. Pictures come from the Facebook page. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282625-so-i-thought-you-guys-might-be-interested-in-these/ Share on other sites

elmo
One way elevator to hell.... going down! Just take off and nuke the place from orbit. It's the only way to be sure! They are nice but have the same problem as the Mantic figures, they are too slim (realistic) compared to the GW humans. hendrik
mad robot miniatures also makes some excellent "colonial defense" torsos which are entirly the same scale as GW guardsmen: http://madrobotminiatures.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_14&products_id=34 as well as lots of alternative guns personally i feel these models are a bit too slim, especially in comparison to the bulky scale GW guardsmen Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282625-so-i-thought-you-guys-might-be-interested-in-these/#findComment-3509404 Share on other sites

WarriorFish
Yeah, they're too tall and skinny to fit in with GW's scaling unfortunately. If you don't mind that then they'd be pretty cool assuming you could get enough variety. Beachymike123
i think they're ok just a bit slim, as everyone has said so far. however, maybe a veteran squad attached to the regiment from another world or something?
