hayato0079
Hi there, I'm Dave and I'm and I was wanting some help with some weapons load outs. I purchased some Exo-Lords from Anvil Industry, mostly Black Ops versions, and was wondering how best to outfit them, I plan on playing Space Wolves primary, but I want the options to run them as other Marine Codices as well. Here's what I have: 20 x "Command" style troops - great for Heroes, Command Sq., & Honourguards 62 x "Tactical" style troops - these will become my WolfGuards, GreyHunters, SternGuard, & Tacticals 21 x "Suppresion" style troops - here's the LongFangs & Devastators with the big guns 27 x "Assault" style troop - for WolfGuard ( assault ), BloodClaws, & Crusaders I intend on ordering up some more to build jump troops, and I'm debating on what style of terminators I will want Cataphractii or normal plastic. As for the army color scheme I was going for all wethered black armour with yellow eye lenses, and my veterans will have there right shoulder painted red. Heroes will have red shoulder with gold trim. I plan on using my airbrush with VMA black, German grey, and us grey to make the armour color. What units do you guys suggest? I will be getting a Spartan, StormEagle, FireRaptor, etc.... Thanks for your time, Dave Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282910-new-to-the-wolves-need-some-load-out-help/ Share on other sites
DanPesci
hailz Thats quite a big number of troops you have there mate! i would do the following 2x 10 grey hunters, 2x melta gun, 1x banner 3x 10 grey hunters, 2x plasma gun, 1x banner 1x 10 grey hunters, 2x flamer, 1x banner that gives you a very flexible pool of troops to choose from, with a slight empasis on plasma. Id then use some of your spare command guys to add a few wulfen or power axe marines to throw in as/when you have the points suppression. Long fangs - missle launchers are excellent all round, maybe throw in a few lascannons, and a squad with heavy bolters/p.cannon for variety 6x Long fangs 4xML 1xLC 1xSarge 6x Long fangs 4xML 1xLC 1xSarge 6x Lonf fangs 3xH.bolter 2xP.Cannon 1xSarge Just to warn you, at the moment, space wolves really dont have the best jump troops, and assault troops in general are a suffering a bit in 6th ed due to it being much more shooty Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282910-new-to-the-wolves-need-some-load-out-help/#findComment-3514914 Share on other sites
hayato0079
Hi, Thanks for the input DanPesci. First thing that's a lot of Grey Hunters ; ). Do you have suggestions on PA Wolf Guards ( I was looking at getting some to use to add to my GreyHunters ). Okay so I was thinking of for each GreyHunter pack I would have 7 bolters, 4 special weapons ( 2 sets of specials), 1 standard, 1 wulfen, 1 PW ( axes?) , and lastly a wolf guard or two ( they'd carry combis base on the special weapons). Also the "assault" troops are on foot, so I might just use these to make extras. there's no jump packs, cause I didn't like the SkyClaws, and wolf guards with JPs are too expensive. The things that I like in the book are the HQs ( that's were most of the command are probably going what with lords and priests), WolfGuards ( both in TA and PA , so I'm going to need to have both in some capacity ), WolfScouts, GreyHunters, lone wolves, TWCav, and LFangs also some of the vehicles. Thanks again, Dave Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282910-new-to-the-wolves-need-some-load-out-help/#findComment-3515057 Share on other sites
