Fallen11
How can you not dig the legion outrider models? Heresy! Maybe because of the price for 3 bikes :p . Now imagine if you wanted to make whole army of them, and get around 30 bikes! If you have wife and told her how much those 30 minis cost :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282961-alternative-bikers/page/2/#findComment-3517452 Share on other sites
MagicMan
You could just not use them if you don't like the models. Your insight is shocking there MM. So Death Wing Knights it is then! Lol i wasn't trying to be a jerk, but it just makes sense. I used to hate the bike models, so i never used bikers... Major_Gilbear
Major gilbear, I love the idea behind yuor conversions; What did you use for the cables that suspend those marines off of the ground???? I am thinking of doing the same type of conversion for my assault squads, and was wondering is bass strings would suffice? And also, what and where did you get the bits for the ends of those lovely 'Dr. Ock' type legs??? Sorry, not trying to jack this thread, but have to get an idea of how you pulled this off! They are not mine, but if you follow this link, you can see what the guy made them also has in his army. For the appendages, you can use bass strings but they are very stiff to work with. You can also use normal wire wrapped with fine wire (which is what this guy's done), or use somthing like these (scroll to the bottom pf the page). For the appendage claws, I beleive the guy used Dark Elf Repeater Crossbows because he happened to have a lot of them. I think you can use anything you have handy though. Please don't forget to post your efforts here when you make your own! ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282961-alternative-bikers/page/2/#findComment-3518329 Share on other sites

James' painting has that effect on me with a lot of models (even ones I don't much like!). :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282961-alternative-bikers/page/2/#findComment-3522584 Share on other sites

Major_Gilbear
Jaw dropping! If only they weren't $72 U.S. for 3 bikes! Be grateful man! These were £20 each when released originally (so £60 a squad), and you can now purchase them for the bargain price of £45! None of your "one-click-bundles" nonsense here, thank you very much. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282961-alternative-bikers/page/2/#findComment-3522707 Share on other sites
