Theduke08
Hey guys I was just wondering what everyone thought about using the Deimos Pattern Predator Executioner? If youre not familiar with this predator it has a heavy 3 plasma weapon that does not get hot and can have heavy bolter or lascannon side sponsons all for about 150 points. Has anyone used one of these tanks or played against them?
Judaz
Haven't played with or against them. But I have met the Leman Russ Executioner, and it is pretty badass. And this one is 65pts cheaper. It's not fast, but I rather have a Plasma destroyer than a fast Predator. I was planning on buying a Predator. Maybe I should get this one instead of a regular one? teblin
I've got one, and it's a lot of fun. Ran it with LasCan sponsons against a Tyranid MC-heavy list and killed his hive tyrant in one turn of shooting. With HBs it's great against infantry. You can wipe out a whole squad of Termies with one salvo of its plasma destroyer.
Midnightmare
....and it looks pretty cool to boot. That Plasma Destroyer looks a good option! *thinking, thinking*
thepowerofwar
I am guessing that's a forge world tank...
Xenith
But probably 40k legal.
Theduke08
It is a legal tank from forgeworld. I think the rounded turret looks really good. Ive personally never purchased any of forgeworlds kits. Does anyone have any experience with these?
Brother_Dan'l
The FW kits are generally quite good. Sometimes you'll need to use hot water to straighten parts, or a bit of green stuff to fill gaps. Just follow the instructions on the site for the care and feeding of resin to get the most out of the kit.
teblin
Larger kits suffer much more from warping in my experience. Both my Storm Eagles' larger panels came quite badly bent, but my Predator was almost completely fine.
Amitt
I've purchased one of them along with the Infernus pattern and have had no problems building them, though haven't had much of a chance to field the Executioner (it is up for my next battle though)
