GK Stormraven: Which version is 'official'?

Currently, there are two sets of rules for the Stormraven that GK have access to, and both are different.

Is the unit entry in the GK Codex the official version, or is it the version from Death from the Skies?

If the newer unit from Death from the Skies was identicle to the unit in our Codex, it would be a non issue.

But that's not the case.

Are both equally official?  Can either be used?  Can both be used at the same time?

The new rules are far, far better as they allow you to disembark even if the flyer was locked in to combat velocity and could no longer hover.

As long as you have access to the book, or can prove the rule I believe no one can question that it's official. To me the DFTS expansion is more of an FAQ for 5th edition flyers that needed rules updating for 6th.

*edit: misread the question

The Old Shadowied Skies are superior (although they have now been replaced by FAQ with the same rule as the DftS version), as they worked with Interceptors using Personal Teleporters.

The new version ignores them totally.

Locator Beacons for one.

I'm sure there are other differences.

(It should also be noted Codex: GK doesn't have a wargear entry for a Locator Beacon.  Nor does DftS)

Edit: Extra Armour is 10 points cheaper in DftS than in Codex:GK

Edit2: Got the Answer from "The Warriors Code"

We expect

everyone to use the most recently released

version of each unit entry.
