Seraphim Miniatures Gone From The GW Website

Recommended Posts

That happens when they have sold them out. That also means that new ones are on the dawning horizon. Now, whether or not the new ones will be plastic or finecast is yet to be seen. As a sisters player, I am beseeching my ministorum priest for it to be multi part plastic.

There`s a thread in the rumours section claiming that GW is phasing out Finecast. If that`s true, I don`t see Seraphim in Finecast happening.

I just wonder what this means. I hope I didn`t miss out on my chance for those great Seraphim miniatures. I am now wondering whether I should buy some regular sisters now lest I risk missing out on those great models forever (notwithstanding my pledge not to buy more minis until I was at least finished what I need for an upcoming tournament) or wait in hopes that there will be plastic sisters troops and Seraphim (and I would want to have sisters that have the same look).

We've had minis disappear before only to reappear again a few days later, still in metal. It's hard to draw any conclusion from it. Anyone know when the most recent Sisters batches were made? The most recent I think I bought were packaged in 2009.

I have been keeping an eye on it since it was removed.  The plasma serahim and the flamer seraphim with both guns up are all I notice missing and I have no idea how long the flamer girl has been gone.

Part of the rumors about fine cast going away also include no more metal production of any kind. It is still rumor and mostly speculation but it has me watching.  And wondering.

I admit I am a little sceptical. If true, then what of the small scale production runs? Is it that their process for making plastic kits has improved to the degree that the business logic supports making plastic kits for everything? Or are they working on something new like 3D printing?
