Note that the Inquisitorial detachment may have a different relationship to the models
from an army’s primary detachment, and the models that make up that army’s ‘regular’
allied detachment (assuming there are any). For example, if an Inquisitor was part of an
army where the primary detachment were Imperial Guard and the allied detachment were
from the Tau Empire, then the Inquisition would treat the Guard as Battle Brothers, and
the Tau as Desperate Allies.

Quoted that on page one mate. msn-wink.gif

Doesn't really answer the question of Come the Apocalypse allies.

But it does:

pg. 112, BRB, right hand column.

COME THE APOCAIYPSE, BUT NOT BEFORE

Simply put, this kind of alliance cannot occur-

So... it cant occur. Seems pretty cut and dry.

I am, and heres why:

Each level of the allies between each of the three factions involved is used. So, if A and B are battle brothers, we use those rules, even though A and C are allies of covenience and B+C are desperate allies. So when we compare any two units we find the rules that are used for their interactions.

So- what is the interaction between units for two different armies if they are 'come the apocalypse'? Simple: They may not be fielded together. This combination cannot occur.

The rule is clear in that we dont ignore any of the allies in regard to each other, thus we must enforce the non-alliance of come the apocalypse.
