HiddenTemplar
Hi guys, I've been struggling to decide on a colour scheme, and would appreciate some help. At the moment this is my shortlist - any thoughts? For info on the chapter here is a link to its article: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283403-iaknights-errant-new-to-the-bc-so-comments-appreciated/ Thanks chaps, HT Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283435-iaknights-errant-help-with-colour-scheme-please/ Share on other sites
Dumah
In all honesty, I'm not terribly fond of any of them, though I will say that the third scheme is at least relatively unique. The first and second are strongly reminiscent of the Ultramarines and Black Templars, and the fourth is similar to the Blood Angels. On number three, I would add a lighter shoulder trim to make it pop more; perhaps white? helterskelter
I'm quite fond of the idea of a quartered scheme when it comes to knightly names. And adds a unique ness. Think howling griffons/brazen claw schemes. By that extension I think the griffons logo is quite knightly. Conn Eremon
I'll ditto Dumah. Of these four, the third is the better. Prefect Apollyon
The third is the best, but I'm not taken by any of them. HelterSkelter's idea of a quartered colour scheme would suit a knightly Chapter. HiddenTemplar
Yup agreed. I hadn't even considered a quartered scheme, so here are a couple I quite like. One the second the shoulder trims would be a little brighter I think. Also, the chapter symbol is a crimson cross so would go on the blue side. Thoughts? HiddenTemplar
Also, I realise that the second isn't too dissimilar to the Brazen Claws, but the blue would be more akin to a fenrisin blue, and obviously cloths, crosses etc would set them apart also. Dumah
I like the black and blue quarters. It's not a scheme used by any existing chapters as far as I'm aware, so it's unique. Prefect Apollyon
The black and blue is unique, which is a plus. I prefer the red and blue, but it is similar to the Brazen Claws. HiddenTemplar
Oki doke, thanks for the comments. One more option then, one which perhaps I actually like best. Thoughts? Ace Debonair
Oki doke, thanks for the comments. One more option then, one which perhaps I actually like best. This is a fine example of saving the best 'til last. Blue and grey is a nifty scheme in almost any arrangement, and quartering it accents the knightly-ness of the Chapter quite nicely. So yeah, this last one gets my vote. Prefect Apollyon
I also like the last one. Grey really works with the quartered system. Dumah
As long as the grey is dark enough to set it apart from the Novamarines, I think it'll be great. Of course, the red accents will help with that too.
