ephrael Posted November 18, 2013 Share Posted November 18, 2013 I have decided to build and paint some 30K Alpha Legion marines while waiting for FW to release the third Heresy book. I have two operatives painted already and I wanted to get some opinions and feedback on the paint before I launch into painting more. The main issue I'm having is photographing models painted with what amounts to metallic paint and lots of alternating layers of ink and matte clear. I prefer to take wip pics with my iPhone at my desk, that's not going to cut it any more. I managed to get a few viewable shots in indirect sunlight today, I'll be working out a better and semi-permanent setup later this week. These are as close to real life as I can get them now but C&C is welcome. Thanks, I'm going to start posting pics of my minis before priming them so that I can get extra eyes on them to help spot trouble areas. The camera helps spot them as well. BCK sent me a link for an inexpensive photo booth setup and I'm going to get that going as well as my real digital camera instead of my iPhone for pics. I'm hoping that will help my poor photo posting skills. I appreciate the feedback so far everyone and have 3 more marines nearly assembled already.
