I love 40K and Warhammer and for years have been engrossed in the artwork, miniatures and painting. Weirdly I rarely play the game or know the rules but what I do is spend hours painting, sculpting and just getting light-headed when a new codex or artwork comes out. I also love the lore and background stories especially Horus Heresy! There is a very active paintng, converting and artwork forum - not to mention a dedicated Horus Heresy forum!
