organ_splinter
Iv been looking at old army ammo cases as a carry case. Has anyone seen or done this before? I was thinking of http://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/shop/army-surplus-uk/military-hardware/excellent-large-brown-british-741627.html Any help would be appreciated Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283679-miniatures-carry-case-from-ammo-cases/ Share on other sites
infyrana
Pack it full of foam, you'll have to cut to fit. But please, don't pay those kinds of prices, go to shows, boot sales etc, and try to find one very much cheaper... not that I am aware of the current prices, but that's overkill surely. organ_splinter
I did sort of think that I could get a load of pick and pluck foam. Yeah the price is a bit pricey. There's a army surplus shop a few miles away I think that's my best bet. Gurth
These are what I normally use to carry my models: http://gurth.home.xs4all.nl/troep/carryingcases.jpg A 7.62-mm NATO and .50-cal. ammo can, with sound insulating foam cut to fit neatly inside. I put metal models between the bumps and hollows, while plastic ones get thrown into a big pile intermixed with styrofoam worms, making sure I add enough worms and/or layers of foam to fill the can completely.
