Wishing for a proper Guide and Tactica, seriously

How should I put it, brothers? Maybe: 'isn't it the time we put it all together in one place?'

So, OK, we have Tactica for 40k, but not for HH, so it's of no use. There's 1d4chan tactica, which is fun, but not really up to date, and I find it somewhat lacking overall. And now, with Massacre out, and a good few models released by FW since Betrayal, there are options and possible builds aplenty. Maybe it could all be discussed and put together here, in one place, for the benefit of all?

I will not pretend I know how it's done, but I'd be willing to take part in such an endeavour, if there's enough people here, who like the idea, and would be willing to help. If not here, then where? I mean, the forum is alive, there are people posting every day, discussing things, providing input, playtesting stuff, etc.

Thoughts?

I'd be willing to help get the ball rolling, make the topic, organize the posts, initial write-up, edit all the community input into coherent posts, etc, but I'm quite far from knowing-it-all.  Without having the more experienced members of the community ready to step up, correct me, cover more specialized units/specific legions, it would probably end up incomplete or flat-out wrong.

We do have tacticas for the various legions, but nothing compiled as a whole.

I can only offer theoreticals, not practicals because I can only speculate what will happen since my gw store near me got shut down due to poor management skills, and the closest one to me is an hour away and out of my time and gaming group as well as no one else plays 30k...

And by tactics, what are you focussing on? Rules shenanigans, placement, or contigency planning?

That, or I just dive head-first into it.  Support for it will either materialize and people pitch in... or they won't, and it all just fades into obscurity.  Either way, talking about doing something is a poor substitute for actually doing it.  Even if people profess their support for it in this thread, that's no guarantee that they'll actually help out with it once we get going.

So, TL;DR, do, or do not, there is no try.

I'll see about getting started once I've done a few more hours of work.

ETA: In my mind, a tactica reviews useful combinations as well as units and wargear individually, extolling the weakness and strength of each, and noting options for each unit that are 'must take' (for instance, I believe power of the machine spirit is necessary on any magna-melta predator - if it moves at cruising speed it cannot fire its main weapon, even as a snap shot.  including machine spirit allows you to move 12 inches and still fire the magna-melta, extending its threat range significantly).
