Stormborn
I'd like to see John Grammticus, Oll Perrson, Alpha Legion Operatives, Bjorn, Khârn, the Ultramarine Sergeant with the fancy swords from Rob's special stash, Space Wolves lots of Space Wolves. Conn Eremon
If Ollanius Persson is the same guy who becomes the patron saint of the Imperial Guard, then they better make him a special character that can be used in Imperial Army armies. I don't care how or why. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283799-units-you-want-in-the-heresy/page/4/#findComment-3546531 Share on other sites
AGPO
Tarik Torgaddon. From a IX legion perspective, I'd like to see them get some properly veteran assault squads, and see Amit make an appearence. FW have said they won't double up on GW stuff which is a shame because their Sanguinary Guard would be beautiful. I'd also like to see the rogue trader era "Blood Oath" squads reappear - the proto-Death Company. I'd also like to see some of the non-Astartes characters from the BL series make an appearence for original LotR style story driven skirmish games. The wider Imperial war machine could do with some fleshing out to so Chilliad troopers and Lucifer Blacks alongside Sisters of Silence and Custodes would be awesome. From a personal perspective I really liked Solomon Demeter and Vespasian from Fulgrim, and although their time has now passed I'd love to see them get models, maybe as an event model or something. Oh, and Tarik Torgaddon. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283799-units-you-want-in-the-heresy/page/4/#findComment-3548867 Share on other sites
Iron Hands Fanatic
Gabriel Santar v Julius Kaesoron character duel set & some Iron Hands Destroyers with cool weapons their pals in the Mechanicum gave them - Rad cleansers n such Oh and some human soldiers attatched to the X - those 'Chainveil' if the whole specific Imperial Army Regiments thing happens Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283799-units-you-want-in-the-heresy/page/4/#findComment-3549540 Share on other sites
Xenith
BA - no specific units really, though FW take on Sanguinary Guard could be awesome, but some Legion conversion parts with lots of single blood drop iconography would be good. Our plastic kits are fine, but look a bit overly ostentatious and impractical at time; not every Angel needs to be covered head to toe in scroll work, ropes and DC crosses. The San Guard armour is the same as has been around since the heresy, so FW most likely will not do anything like that - basic Sanguard are already Sanguinius' personal bodyguard. The 30k rules for them may be more impressive. Not to mention Iron Hand specific armor and Sons of Horus specific armor. Conn Eremon
Well, I thought they were both meant to show their pre-Heresy looks, though I suppose the Noise Marines put paid to that. Either way, haven't they said that they would only do models that you couldn't use the 40k ones? Explaining why they won't do any Daemon models specifically for 30k? GhostMalone
Yeah, but deamon characters I'm sure they will and things such as the sang guard would be less like they're 30k counterparts so I'm sure they will do better sculpts with no death masks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283799-units-you-want-in-the-heresy/page/4/#findComment-3549618 Share on other sites
AGPO
I'm using regular Sang Guard in my IX legion army, as as long as you steer clear of Mk VII helms they're perfectly appropriate. Hopefully they'll get an Azkaelon model to lead them though Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283799-units-you-want-in-the-heresy/page/4/#findComment-3549628 Share on other sites
Daddywarcrimes
I'm hoping for a few more Stormeagle variants, some more legion specific Breacher squads, and possibly a Zone Mortalis tile with a crashed boarding torpedo. Hyaenidae
Heresy-era Squats. Come on Forgeworld, you're the only ones with the balls and sculpting skills to do it! Dear God, no. The squats are buried in their tiny little caskets. Let's keep it that way. Termite tunneling transport pods. My Iron Warrior sappers demand it. might I direct you towards the hades breaching drills? Not the same, sadly. I want a reverse drop pod, not a drill. IV and VI legs and helmets a la Palatine Blades, with BA iconography as thus far all we've got is that one plastic Mk. IV head (looks awful) with a grail on it to denote older armour marks. Tyrannicide
I imagine the IX Legion will eventually get a badass assault unit similar in appearence to what the Palatine Blades are for the EC. Decorative helmets, winged vambraces, stylizied blades, intricate details across their armor, and of course jump packs. Hyaenidae
Just thought of one, as I was reading Unremembered Empire. I'd like to see a Shattered Legions army list. A blend of various Legions, broken and alone, facing the darkness. Maybe some easter eggs, showing how some of the various Legion survivors would eventually become the Chapters that follow Guilliman's reforms during the Scouring. Especially the Iron Hand survivors... I can definetley see how and why the X Legion successors don't talk to their Legion of origin anymore. Like, the mindset of those X Legion shown in Riven, compared to those shown in UE. Massive difference. And I friggin' NEEEEEED rules to play Narek of the True Word. Oh my Holy God-Emperor, that dude rules. Barrett .50 Cal + Heavy Bolter Rounds + Word Bearer who wants to kill Aurelian to save his Legion = the coolest character EVER. Angelus Mortifer
Azkaellon Raldoron High level of artifice for BA Caterphracti squads Some sort of dedicated assault unit, like the EC Palantines Custodes Sisters of Silence Sharrowkyn Ephrit squads for AL, and general infiltrator/stealth units Naturally they will do him, but I genuinely hope they do the Sanguinius model justice. Would prefer to see him like Fulgrim, a la full battle pose (but better than Fulgrim's), rather than in a more "civic/ceremonial" pose like Lorgar. Opinion was divided on Lorgar's face for what was meant to be one of the most handsome of the Primarchs, but they really need to get Sang's angelic qualities down right. If they go battle pose, then I'd be more than happy for them to go the route of the Angel of Death - handsome and noble yes, but with an avenging countenance. ...oh, and Sevatar, just for being the most humorous and witty bad mofo. interkino
Hi Mates Sanguinary Guard: I know that FW team could sculpt the best unit in the 30k (with Azkaellon) ;) Baal Scout squad: like desert "mad max" units, survivor of the toxic land of Baal (gas masks, improvised armor and weapon) Flesh tearers squad: member of 5th company lead by Amit, with special melee weapon like flaying knife or chain axe Fallen of Amareo Tower: Proto DC, squad of "Fallen" lead by Warden. They are exiles confined in a special place on Baal and released when the blood..... called their names jet bike chariots: http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Jetbike jet bike bullock pattern terminator suit Saturnine pattern Warden Raldoron Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/283799-units-you-want-in-the-heresy/page/4/#findComment-3558183 Share on other sites
